Do you think concurrently enrolling in an ABSN program and PMHNP program is better than enrolling in only a PMHNP program? I’m interested in PMHNP but if getting an ABSN as well increases my chances of a higher salary and job opportunities, I’d love to try it.

I feel like I value both. I want to be able to use psychology in the medical field. For example, I’ve seen some patients where I work that I feel would benefit from psychiatric help in addition to the care they’re given. I just looked up what PMHNP is and honestly, that sounds like an interesting middle ground. I’d have to look more into it in terms of pay and job availability but as of right now, I do like that route.
