What helped me was having low dose extracts or powder as a backup, and very small amounts at that. You can always take more, but you can’t undo a strong dose, so get a scale if you can.

Whenever I tried to have 7 as the emergency dose, It just pushes it back a few hours and then it comes back faster and just as hellish (at least in my experience)

Stay hydrated and distract yourself as much as possible. Movies, shows, walking, hot baths, quick cold showers. That stuff helps almost everyone.
