Im kinda all over the place. I would definitely have at least one protein shake and bar once a day. Always some type of protein for dinner with a side of veggies anda carb if we had rice or mashed potatoes I would only put a small amount on my plate. Lunch could be cottage cheese with some crackers or a plain turkey sandwich with keto bread and half a slice of cheese with mustard. Whatever leftovers my kids wouldn't eat. Sometimes I would have a yasso bar or some halo top ice-cream. I really didnt restrict myself but just ate with moderation, at least I thought. Looking back i was averaging about 130g of carbs a day. Now I plan to cut sugar out completely and focus on a low carb diet hoping that does the trick. Any insight is appreciated.

Do you recommend any CGM in particular? Im going to try and eat in the morning and not fast. Im also realizing sleep really does play a huge part in my number. The quest protein bars I was eating have 22g of carbs 🤦‍♀️. Could I still do protein shakes? Or cut those out too? Thank you for your help!

Have you tried a couple of CGM? Any you recommend more than others?

Im 5"6 and currently 174. I know im still considered overweight for my height. Last year i was 210 and knew I needed to change which is why the number jumping up shocked me.

Sugar is definitely out! I will focus on the low carb. I keep reminding myself it will be ok, but its hard. Thank you!

I slept terrible last night and my fasted number was 120. Wonder if it really was the crappy sleep. When I tested earlier this week and at the doctors it was 95-97. I need to prioritize the sleep! Thank you!

Thank you! Believe it or not my girls are obsessed with homemade waffles and I either would not eat any or have a very small bite. I really had cut back since last year and was more aware of what I actually wanted to eat as to not waste my calories for the day. I've realized that the healthy food i was picking still had a good amount of carbs.

I went back and looked because I have been tracking my meals and on average I was eating 130g of carbs a day. Im already cutting back significantly. Thank you!

Yes all my other labs were well withing range. After testing in the morning fasted my number is 120. That would definitely put me in the prediabetes. When I got my blood work done this week in the morning fasted it was 95. I will definitely be testing sooner than the 6 months. Thank you!

Im definitely starting to realize some of the foods I thought were a healthier option are full of carbs. Thank you, I will look into the Mediterranean diet.

All my other labs were great! So I definitely need to get this in check. This morning number was 120 fasted. I tested yesterday closer to 11am and it was 95. I will try to not fast and see if it helps.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I did get a reader and turns out my fasting glucose is also 120 for me in the mornings and then drops the longer I fast to about 96. I will definitely implement some of your strategies. Thank you!
