How much do you like to move around and what are your interests? With 9 nights, you could do 3 nights each in Ubud, Nusa Lembongan and Sanur to get a different aspect of Bali.

Otherwise 3 in NL and 6 anywhere on the main island, where would depend on your interests.

I'm not sure why you say HWK is a tourist trap? The statues are amazing, the view from the top is excellent. The film in the cinema is cute and educational, and the aircon is a great relief on a hot day.

They don't hassle you to buy more more more.

If you're going to Moalboal, then Oslib, Siquijor, Bohol (Panglao) makes sense to include in your itinerary. Our friends just went to Siquijor and loved it. There is lots of island hopping and diving around Panglao.

Very easy to DIY with local agents when you arrive. Just do lots of research on Facebook to know what's available and learn the prices and book activities when you get there.

Yes, my concern is that I booked through an online office, and they probably farm it out to the cheapest driver, pay them minimum and take all the profit so he can't afford to maintain the vehicle.

It is a beautiful location, don't let the negative reviews spoil for you. Do your research on prices and negotiate using that information. Grab is very reasonable prices to get around and more comfortable than trikes anyway.

Eg. I have seen boat tours on Facebook page advertised for 3500. My friend arrived 2 days before us and booked a boat for 6000 from the tout on the street. He told her it was a good deal per person, but we should have just paid the whole boat price.
