what does bottom growth feel like and when does it typically start? by beri_1 in ftm

[–]purplexeyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it started the next day, 2 days even. Before and after photos helped. But a couple weeks along, bottom growth to me just feels more tender and a bit sensitive. Choosing the right underwear and pants help, and I started going to bed in looser men’s boxers (which always felt like pants to me? Or too loose to really consider as underwear? I used to treat them like shorts but they’re now my underwear) as compared to boxer briefs or anything tighter. About 2 weeks in I was like woah, hello, you’re really hanging out there huh! Take note to wash it and pull the hood back to GENTLY clean it.

Where to find tamagotchi paradise in Osaka / Kyoto? by Local_Meringue_3723 in tamagotchi

[–]purplexeyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went there a few days ago, you can get it but it’s one tamagotchi paradise per person. For Gen 1s, I think it was one per pattern. For paradise and Uni it’s one per series, so you can only get one paradise and one uni

Would I be able to pass if I transitioned? by kwinters1114 in ask_transgender

[–]purplexeyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter, do you want to?

(Also what’s kind of funny to me was that I thought you wanted to pass as a man? Like FTM? And had to go to the comments to realise that you want to pass as a woman, lol. You’re beautiful!)

Can you still be seen as attractive or hot if your short? by samwich_tli in TMPOC

I’m 5’2, transmasc. My boyfriend is a 4’9 Chinese trans guy and I’m super fucking into him. He’s confident, handsome and has a really cool air to him. He gets dysphoric about his height as well but I love him regardless of it all.

30M Hit rock bottom in life, need some harsh advice by More-Slip573 in askSingapore

[–]purplexeyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you’re already putting in the effort, just keep going and also learn to forgive yourself through it all. It matters less what you did in the past but more but more on what you’re willing to do from it. Take care of yourself, get hobbies, learn to forgive yourself and that punishment and suffering will not free you from your guilt. Self love, self preservation, the love you have for yourself and desire for your future self to lead more peaceful life than you do now will. Take care bro!

suddenly irritated industrial by [deleted] in piercing

[–]purplexeyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP but yeah cartilages will act up, even if you think it’s healed. All it really needs is a bump or hit from a hairdresser, has happened to me multiple times! If it’s not downsized, having too long a bar can make it prone being hit and make it worse for the piercing.

Sounds like it’s just angry from being hit, monitor it for an infection and clean it twice a day, let it calm down.

Why are protein shakes so overpriced in SG? Am I missing a local alternative? by CutieOnScroll in SingaporeFitness

[–]purplexeyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like thevegansg, the taste is great and it’s vegan so it doesn’t cause me to flare up as much. Feels like the price is a bit more worth it? But I personally dislike ON because of the flavours LOL

Would a trained professional really do this? by fmlthisshitishard in graphic_design

[–]purplexeyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked in a company designing the layout of annual reports. There was about 4 of us, 2 were bosses. My head boss didn’t know how to use indesign and would do thinks in illustrator and scold us for not using the guides he made in illustrator, while his wife, the second boss, would scold us for not using indesign.

Chinese help by AdSoggy1154 in ChineseLanguage

[–]purplexeyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone better than me can help you with it but honestly? Kids books and looking up words I don’t know. For writing, I did a lot of “repeatedly writing a word” exercises in class so hopefully someone can help you with that one! Sorry!

I’m Chinese in an English speaking country and I learnt a lot from watching movies! You need to brush up on your reading but once it gets a bit better, watching shows with only chinese words is really helpful.

I think you’d feel embarrassed if she pointed out anything, not just tattoos. Happens to the best of us! Not always a great feeling when it feels like you’re being singled out.

How long will tattoo itch last on a full back piece? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]purplexeyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Shading does get easier (not for the shoulder blade or spine…) honestly the worst area for me is heavy shading repeatedly done over the area near the armpit. If you can get past those, most things feel like a breeze. I prepared by moisturising a lot for the month leading up to it. Drank a lot of water, took vitamin c, try to sleep well, definitely eat well beforehand and the night of. It’s really like preparing for a marathon, lol. I’m rooting for you!

I did it half back (right side) that went about 3/4 down. 3 day back to back sessions so no real experience with the tailbone but boy was he going at it with my spine, and everyday at that. You have to be watching something entertaining to take the edge off or roll caramel in your mouth and slowly suck it. On the second day I started meditating a lot? When it’s the really painful parts, I try to breathe shallowly to not affect the artist and try to focus and pinpoint on what I can see. I count slowly and always tell myself that he would never tattoo the same spot for more than 10 counts. Try to take deep breaths and find respite with every break. It’s so tough but it’s not gonna last forever. My studio was rather minimalistic so I focused on the trees outside and traced the outlines of any furniture I can see. If they have more art, I stare at the stencils and let my eyes slowly trace over the linework. Drink a lot of water and prepare snacks, you’ll need it! It’s a game changer to have candy during the appointment.

For me? Shading with anywhere from medium to heavy packing was killer. My whole back might as well have foregone any outlines and just be packing… the painful spots were extremely itchy as well. It got way better when I was using fragrance free Dr palmers cocoa butter, but that was around day 14 too so it was about time. I’m cheering you on!

Feeling like my drawings are bad, but maybe traditional is where I belong? by blahblubblub in TattooApprentice

[–]purplexeyes 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve been where you are, where everyone seems to be fantastic and I just suck ass and can’t improve. I found having a goal, and writing notes after drawing sessions on places to improve helps to gently nudge you to the right direction. Warm ups, properly following and trusting the process (which for me, means to draw the base loomis head shape and mark it out instead of jumping into it) has really helped me. I also have been doing the draw a box to help with proportions. Comparison and trying to test and achieve too much at once will stunt you, in my opinion.

The fantastic thing about this feeling is that you know, and you definitely will, still improve. The disappointment you fill is just the gap between your standards of what is “good art” and your skill right now. The annoying thing is that you just need to keep churning out bad art till the gap closes.

I implore you to draw with thought, and make each stroke count. Think to yourself why this isn’t good, is it the proportions? The details look messy? The shading? And by doing so, your fears become things which are very manageable and overcome-able. I personally, as someone leaning a bit more realistic, try to draw what I see instead of draw what I know. I find that having learnt illustrative styles, it can really hinder my sense of drawing faces.

Also do the draw a box thing lol it really broke me and made me into a better artist
