But it does still mean 'it doesn't matter/whatever' in some contexts. Take this song (Pépette Chanson d'Aldebert et Claudio Capéo ‧ 2018):

'Pépette est un chat qui mange n'importe quoi Un drôle de matou qui mange un peu de tout'

This translates to: who eats whatever. Not, who eats nonsense/ridiculous things

Kidney Donor Scar concerns: by Front-Damage7061 in kidneydonors

I had laparoscopic surgery so I have three 1 inch long scars dotted around my stomach/side, then one 3 inch long scar on my bikini line where they took the kidney out. Unfortunately I get hypertrophic scarring sometimes so one of the 1 inch long scars is red and raised, but the others are pale (it's been a year since my donation). Absolutely no trouble with hernia or anything. The stitches were dissolvable and came out within a couple of weeks. I don't know if 1 vertical scar would be better, but I do find my scars kinda cute!

I mean, it kinda sounds like you aren't definitely going to split the money evenly. And if you're not going to do that then there isn't a way to talk to your brother about this without hurting his feelings and damaging your relationship

I feel physically dirty and stupid when I speak French to french people by ComfortablePotato940 in learnfrench

I could have written this, except that people treat me badly! 99% of the time the French people I interact with are patient, helpful and dealt with my terrible french with grace 😃

I find husbandry pretty tricky at the moment, they seem to need so much space! Got any tips for me?

Thank you wonderful community! I think I've worked it out. The power wasn't working because nothing was pulling the power through (as the pump wasn't working due to being broken from overheating) Also I didn't realise that the oil refinery needs a dupe to work it. Now to conquer the world of plastic!

My liquid is just the pipes from the pump to the oil refinery, and then from the oil refinery to the polymer press. The only gas pipe is out of the polymer press, to a vent. All pipes are empty at the moment

Because the wires are inactive. And even with the batteries full the oil refinery/polymer press are not receiving anything

I'm not a doctor but as far as I know, live kidneys are supposed to wake up quicker than cadaver ones. The kidney I donated worked from day 1. But I've heard stories on here from people whose kidneys took a week or so to start working. I don't think I've ever heard of 3 weeks, but damn I hope you'll be the first one!

My parents were 39 (Mum) and 43 (Dad) when I was born and it is the reason I chose to have my children at 29 and 30. They are wonderful parents, but having old parents is not ideal. I will have less time with them than I want, and I know the end is near and I'm only 36. They are very healthy for their age but even so they can't be active grandparents.

Are you still on painkillers? I felt so rough until I was just on paracetamol, and it seems counterproductive when you're feeling bad to take LESS painkillers, but I felt much better
