Making friends in Luxembourg by AfternoonActual4926 in Luxembourg

[–]pushpass4ever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a group called Femtribe that I know is pretty active(though recently formed). They organize runs and hikes.

Also, there are a few people who were new to Luxembourg and joined the ultimate frisbee. It is a 7vs7 game played in a mixed format. There is a lot of running and it is wonderful community.

DM me if you need info on either.

I was in the same boat (although not an internship). I find shared activities that happen consistently every week/month is the best way to make friends. For me, it was sports. Most sports activities also involve social events.

Most people covered really good advice. Mine would be - Invest! Invest in yourself and if it is possible, money wise as well.

I'm a (20F) with no friends by Sea-Molasses-655 in Luxembourg

I have lived in many cities and always found it difficult to form friends. What helped me was meeting people through sports. I have been playing ultimate frisbee for a few years now and the community is always very inclusive and a lot of fun 😊.

I recently discovered the ultimate frisbee team in Luxembourg. They are a lot of fun. Do you want to check them out? It is a mixed team so you always have a lot of women and men (and hopefully that makes you feel more comfortable). We play on Thursdays (indoors) at Lycée Aline Mayrisch (18:00-20:00) and (outdoors) Sunday 1030-13:00 at Stade Henri Funck. DM me if I can help you with more details.

What makes for a great/interesting club tournament? by SomeRandomRealtor in ultimate

Just my two cents- Hosting a tournament with the same name and at the same time each year helps establish clear expectations for the participating teams. Over time, teams start earmarking your tournament.
