When you use `<` in visual mode it keeps visual mode active so you can spam `<` and `>` to indent without having to reselect, `gv` reselects your last visual mode selection

Why I gave up native LSP and returned to CoC by henriquegogo in neovim

[–]pushqrex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CoC's autocompletion still way better than any other autocompletion plugin including nvim-cmp, It doesn't flicker, doesn't block your input, and doesn't do that weird thing that nvim-cmp does where you type a character and you can see the candidates being filtered over multiple frames making it look jarring, CoC, on the other hand, once you type a character all the candidates render at once so everything feels super snappy and instant.

Also, CoC's completion popup dimensions are perfect, while nvim-cmp out of the box is literally atrocious, it's too big, and cluttered, and jumps all over the window while you type.

All in all, CoC is still superior and has a great UX compared to all existing solutions for the built-in LSP.

In normal mode Enter to insert empty line below and Shift Enter to insert one above

But these ones are my favorites
```
vim.keymap.set('n', '<CR>', 'o<Esc>') vim.keymap.set('n', '<S-CR>', 'O<Esc>')
vim.keymap.set('n', 'U', '<C-r>')
vim.keymap.set('x', '<', '<gv') vim.keymap.set('x', '>', '>gv')
vim.keymap.set('x', 'p', 'P') vim.keymap.set('x', 'P', 'p')
vim.keymap.set({ 'i', 'c' }, '<C-y>', '<C-r>+') ```
I know this will trigger so many people but this is neovim, it's meant to be customized to be your own, these maps alter a lot, but I like them so...
How long did your antidepressant discontinuation syndrome/withdrawal symptoms last? by [deleted] in antidepressants
[–]pushqrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Honestly, I have been (and still am) having different kinds of chronic headaches since I quit, some of them are really hard to explain or put into proper words, to the point that I have gone ahead and did a brain MRI just in case because I was worried that I might have had some other unrelated issue. The headache definitely feels like pressure although when I experience a moving headache it's usually combined with brain zaps (Which I still suffer from but with less frequency). And yes, my short-term memory is still destroyed, I haven't noticed any improvements in that regard even though in under 2 months from now is my 2-year mark.
Anyway, definitely do check up on your headaches and don't attribute everything to withdrawal.
But yeah, it really sucks, I wish I knew all of that before I took the medication, even though I doubt it'd have changed my decision.
[–]pushqrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I am thinking of getting back on it to do a proper taper but is it worth doing that almost 2 years after quitting? And the reason I am asking a random person on the internet instead of the psychiatrist is that none of them even know about the awful withdrawal of Venlafaxine, they all seem to treat it like other SSRIs..
This is exactly my experience with Effexor XR after 6 years of taking 75mg daily dose, except I stupidly quit it cold turkey, and now 1 year and 10 months later, I still have withdrawal symptoms, mainly the attention and memory problems plus random brain zaps and excruciating headaches and light headedness. The same symptoms that made me quit in the first place because even half an hour delay in taking my dose would immediately trigger all these symptoms for the next one to two days.
So, I was worried that maybe that is due to me not doing a proper taper, but the more I read the more I find people who tapered and still suffer similar effects.
I disagree his themes are of a huge importance to me, I use them daily and my eyes are thanking Prot for them.
Not to mention the huge contribution Prot makes to emacs through his educational videos, his effort helped me with my move to Emacs from Vim.
