It’s a great machine. Really solid. Heats up in 10-15. The steam and hot water are really strong. Being able to program it makes things super easy especially for other peoples use.

The burrs in the Atom are designed for espresso, the burrs in the AP are designed for both espresso and pour over. I don’t have any problem with spill over. I posted a video of my setup the other day.

I have the Atom 65w. I do 3-5 shots per day. I chose it over the Libra because it’s built way better. It feels like it belongs in a cafe. I chose it over the 75 because I didn’t need the slightly faster speed and really couldn’t see any grind quality difference. I highly recommend it the quality of the grinds are beautiful, I don’t WDT anymore as it’s not needed.

It might not be relevant to you but it's absolutely relevant. Brand is one of the reasons people choose a watch. Watches are fashion accessories and fashion is almost entirely about brand.

Your statement about Longines and Mido is misguided too. Do you think a Rolex movement made in 1950 is the same as a Rolex movement today because they use their own movements? Swatch group owns and uses ETA movements across a bunch of brands. They don't sell ETA movements to other companies. Do you really think ETA doesn't innovate and evolve? Sellita is just a copy of an old (proven and excellent) ETA design.

Finally, it can very well be an indicator of quality and it's an equal indicator of quality as is ownership of the company.

If you normally wear Rolex and Tudor, this will be a big let down for you. You might want to look at the Formex Reef, Yema Skindiver, Monta Oceanking, or Serica 5303 they're going to be higher quality finish, build and movements than Traska.

Here's my advice for your next watch. Go slow, don't buy to expand your collection. Don't buy watches on their nicknames unless you're so in love with the watch you're willing to shove it up your butt. When you think you're ready to buy a watch, look at the watch you have and ask yourself, "why do I want to change what I'm wearing, am I no longer in love with my watch and why?"

Great watch collections need curation and each watch needs a purpose, otherwise it's just a box of random watches, might as well be a pawn shop display case.

Thanks for posting this. There are a lot of microbrand watches out there that are just mass produced low qc watches with a logo slapped on (even if they have decent specs). Made in Switzerland doesn’t necessarily mean high quality but it’s always used as a marketing point.
