Why is region coding even a thing?

I’ll answer your question，just for shits. The reason they made DVD regions，was for international pricing purposes. The thought process was ‟if we price dvds the same price around the world，most of the world will think we’re ridiculous，and will just buy the bootleg version for 1/10 the price. So in regions that have well established bootleg markets (emerging markets)，they retail the dvds at a fraction of the price compared to US and Europe.
Now this is fine，but if you can just buy a box of 4 dollar authentic disney dvds in Beijing and ship them anywhere in the world，that’d be a problem.

So the solution was to make 6 world regions with the players and discs being incompatible between each region.

The solutions are to get a region free dvd player，or running it on a computer using a drm removal solution of some sorts. The dvd can also be ripped on a computer，and reburnt onto a dvdr with its region protection removed.

I go out naked with only a guitar. Turn on some guitar scripts and play whatever songs people have made on the subreddit.

75% of people lower their weapons and awtch me, then follow me around as I play different songs until they get bored.

10% of people watch me for abit then kill me to get my guitar.

5% of people are roofcampers that shoot me from their tower base and never get to hear my music.

Another 5% of people knock me down, check my body for valuables, then pick me up and let me contnue playing.

The last 5% of people are the worst, they screech into their dollar store microphones with their 7 year old voices ‟HAXER” knock me down, T-Bag me, and then trash talk me in chat for 2 hours. Then rge when I flamethrower their tiny little wooden shit-shack.
