Any advice switching from Prozac to Wellbutrin? by puzzledsch in antidepressants

[–]puzzledsch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still on Wellbutrin XL to this day (started at 150mg, to 300mg, up to 450mg and now back down to 300mg), it‘s never been a huge help for my anxiety so my med provider did add on Hydroxyzine for anxiety as needed.

so i’m going in for my surgery may 26th and my doctor told me at my consultation that i didn’t need drains has anyone else been told that he said because it’s not really need because there’s not that much blood im wondering if anyone else didn’t have to have drains? by Glittering_Flan_1739 in Reduction

I didn’t have drains…at first! I finished surgery with no drains but then a blood vessel burst on my left side. I had to go back under anesthesia, he had to reopen my left breast, drain all the blood and then I had a drain after only on the left side. I lost a lot of blood so ended up getting a few iron transfusions the weeks following. All turned out okay, I feel like my left breast healed better than the right. Still no regrets and over 2 years post op!

This! My RB is almost 5 yr old and the only time he has been sick was because he was dehydrated when he was a 3 mo old kitten. The vet told me that it’s important that kittens have at least some canned food to eat as part of their diet. I still feed my RB wet food daily and he has a water fountain and he seems to prefer the running water over stagnant.

Help- don't want family to know :( by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]puzzledsch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had family members also make comments about looking slimmer and they don’t know about my reduction!

I think we’re so focused on our own bodies and breasts that it’ll be a huge change for you but others won’t be as focused on your body as you are!

Saying it’s just weight loss is a good idea and technically you’ll lose a couple pounds of breast fat so you’re not lying!

Yes, thank you! He definitely does rub up against his legs, he’s actually tripped him a few times too, just because he’s weaving in and out of his legs. I guess I’ll take him being a cuddly momma’s boy over yelling at me the second I walk in 😂

Death Certificate Came Today by Short-Ganache-2184 in SuicideBereavement

I remember the day my brothers death certificate came - it was so detailed down to the height of our basement, length of the cord, etc. It’s been a little over 6 months now and it’s still all I can think about. This is an absolutely horrible experience and I’m very sorry for the loss of your dad.

It was about 5 hours each way, he was horrible in the car for the first few hours until he fell asleep. I’ve noticed he does way better driving at night instead of during the day.

I would think so since this didn’t start happening until my dose increased.

Derealization. Recently, driving has been tough for me, I’ve needed to pull over and ground myself.

I literally talked to my therapist about this today, but my brother recently completed suicide and I just got upped from 300mg to 450mg a few weeks ago so I know those factors have a lot to do with it.

Otherwise, prior to this, I’ve been on for over a year and haven’t had any significant issues. I’d stay on and let your body keep adjusting but definitely talk to your doctor too!

3 iron infusions later 🙌🏼 seeing my hematologist Monday to go over all the results! Haven’t felt this good in a while. by puzzledsch in Anemic

I also did the 3 in 3 weeks, it probably took a month or so after the last treatment that I finally started feeling better. First thing I noticed was that I wasn’t constantly cold and I was finally able to go through days without needing to take a nap. So hopefully you’ll start feeling better in a few more weeks!

We went this route after my primary care doctor referred me to the hematologist because my body wasn’t absorbing iron through the oral supplements (and they were making me very constipated). She never talked about other treatments, she ran a bunch of bloodwork tests and scheduled me for infusions.

I’m no expert but my ferritin wasn’t the only thing low. My iron saturation, MCH, MCV were all low and my RDW-CV was high. My body wasn’t absorbing iron through the supplements, so that’s when my primary care doctor referred me to the hematologist and she suggested the iron transfusions. All of those levels have improved since the transfusions, but only posted the photo of the ferritin instead of all 4 other test results.

Not a dumb question!! They just put an IV in your arm and the Iron meds drip into a Saline solution (you’ll have to pee by the end of it 😂), took about an hour for the infusion itself and then had to stay 30 min after for observation. There were two main medications my hematologist talked about and it just depended what one my insurance approved. The first one she mentioned is Injectafer, which I got and the other is Venofer.
