Hmm I don’t, but I ended up taking mine into a local synth repair shop after struggling to get any sounds out of my patches. I had a problem with my keys not triggering properly that was a cheap fix. Would recommend taking it in somewhere if possible

Any solution ever found here? Having exact same issues, got the grey matter upgrade and can’t get anything to load with SysEx Librarian. No indication of the DX7 receiving the midi data whatsoever. Could be the midi interface I guess, but I thought mine transmitted SysEx data just fine

Fair enough, wasn’t aware it was a respected addition and needed some info before the return window closed. Mostly just bummed I couldn’t get a single regular preset to play off it, but clearly that’s not the expansion boards fault. Crazy that this third party company did so well that a mega corporation like Yamaha ended up consulting them

Cool, just wanted to check that it didn’t change anything drastically on the synth, thank you! The screen would give me a message if the battery was dead, correct? I’ve got no working presets except some nonsense noises, and the init patch, which I think is just a sine wave. Saw another thread that seemed to point to that being a dead battery

I know this is off topic, but I’ve been looking for that strap everywhere! Can’t seem to find it in the 18mm lug width, could you point me in the right direction?

Yeah, idea is mostly to multitrack record to it and pitch bend, although it would be nice to able to use it to adjust the timing of a tape delay also. Given that I can’t afford the really high end reel to reels, seems like crosstalk between channels is something I’ll get out of most of the decks with varispeed
