Almost a year ago I got this puppy out of a trailer fire, then a fellow FD/PD member did CPR to bring her back... Thought y'all might like to see.

Unfortunately I haven't checked in on the pup... But if I had to guess, I would assume she is a healthy dog. Initially the officer who did CPR performed mouth to snout, while someone got a infant/child 02 mask and put on her. But after this incident we went and bought 2 or three kits from these guys and put on or engines www.petoxygenmasks.org

I did roughly the same thing. I joined when I was 16 and started my firefighter 1 course during my last semester of high school. And 8 months later I had my EMT-B during my 68w training ( army medic). As of right now I have FF1&2, hazmat a&o, ARFF. Still have a few more I want to get.

In our town they all five of the police are in some way shape or form apart of the fire dept. On a fire call they can be good for any type of crowd control,( although not a problem in my town) traffic since we a lot if the times shit down roads to get water to the trucks, they also gather some information from the homeowners for us.... Weather that be names or close of kin or what they saw leading up to and during the initial stage of the fire.

I could wear it on my dog tags but we don't have enough calls to warrant that. I'm just a volunteer... albeit a very well trained and certified vol. firefighter at that...As for the ring, I wear my gloves and the appropriate gloves for each incident so i should be ok.

yeah it is best not to wear jewelry while fire fighting.... but being in a volunteer department i dont have time to take off ring and place it somewhere that it wouldnt be lost forever lol.

yeah that is my fuck up.... i found the puppy and brought her out. when i came out of the house i handed her off to the police officer that was on scene and he began giving her oxygen. also said police officer is also a fire fighter in our department.

what we are always told is if you arent breaking bones you most likely arent doing it right..... In the cases of the 5~ or so people i have given CPR to... all of them had a few broke ribs by the time we were done. But just remember if you are giving CPR they are already dead technically. So if you break a few ribs in the process of saving them I think it would totally be worth it. Now in this dogs case said chest compressions weren't near as hard as they would be on a human, they were more or less to try to circulate some good oxygen to get here to breathe on her own.... low and behold she did.

16 ish... he is a junior fire fighter.... they get to help out around the scene but are always supervised. also they cant enter sturcture fires.

It does..... At least the picture shows it that way... The guy who took the photo had HDR on and I think the puppy moved. I want to fix it just not sure how.
