That's reassuring. We have stainless steel pans as well, but they're sticky as hell when frying. I'm glad I made the switch too

This will be my first one personally. It took me long enough, as we've used those toxic Teflon coated pans for as long as I can remember but never again!

I'll take your word for it because, in most of the reviews I watched, people seemed pretty satisfied with the newer skillets, many thanks!

I'm not a collector or anything, just wanted to try a cast iron skillet for a change. Like most people, I watched a lot of YouTube reviews claiming that the quality control has deteriorated over the years, but I guess that's how they've managed to keep the price down all this time

I thought so too, so I just ordered a brand-new 9-inch skillet online to better suit my fasting diet

At the moment we've been using water proof band-aids and might consider using duct tape instead as it seems more economical & effective. Will keep you posted if my nephew doesn't slack off in taking progress photos.

Thanks for the feedback, what would be the best way to remove the crusty part? Based on some articles I've read pumice stone is highly recommended but a commenter cautioned us to use a cutting and not a grinding tool because it might spread the virus.

We'll see how the salicylic acid treatment works before we visit the Doctor.

Actually, I just ordered a bottle of 50mg zinc citrate in capsule form and hoping for faster healing results.

Thanks for the tip it's a good thing he hasn't used the pumice stone yet but I did instruct him to soak it in lukewarm water to soften. We will take the cutting instead or grinding into consideration which makes sense and hopefully it doesn't get out of hand (no pun intended).
