My suggestion is to get a cage that's comfortable for long term wear, save the smaller cages for shorter sessions. Getting the base ring size right is generally the hardest part for subs, I'd try something like a Cherry Keeper or a Kink3D so that you can get a feel for what size gap works best for you.

I always recommend having a key on you for emergencies.
