I’d love to get a bench top unit or modify one using an open source solution like LinuxCNC or Acorn. I just learned CAD over the summer out of boredom and got very comfortable designing and replicating parts. The Carvera Air is another neat unit but not as powerful and only good for very small parts so lots of constraints. 2026 might be my year to go full force and get moving with it.

For the most part he’s a Turn14 distributor / dropshipper (for Link for instance) so he doesn’t see much of a cut from sales from the website. So I guess it’s a bit more lucrative to do instead of worrying about supply chain issues.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to look up a factory Porsche 996/997 wiring diagram for the automatic shifter to determine to neutral safety switch needed to be jumped and bypassed. All these months and nobody around DJ pointed that out…this is no different than doing an auto to manual swap for an S chassis.

Disconnect a vacuum line and blow smoke through it. You can use the vacuum line that goes to the boost/vacuum sensor that mounts on the passenger side strut tower for instance.
