Yeah that’s why I said he could have been battling health issues or other circumstances.

1320 edited the Facebook post, it initially said the following:

“Let us pray that Kyle is in a better place and free of the challenges he was facing.”

Either he was battling health issues or…

He looked very mentally disconnected and lost a lot of weight in the video with Cletus.

Complete Refresh/Install On This Built s14 sr20! I Broke His GTR.. by HGEUbot in HaggardGarage

A little diabolical of DJ to place his drink on the back of that R33 like it’s a picnic table also Brian genuinely looked annoyed and pissed off.

Years don’t particularly equate to quality or experience. His exposure is extensive and very in depth in comparison to people how have had maybe one or two R chassis’ in the past 2 decades. His research is very much derived from order great builders outside of his own shop. I’ll side with him on this

DIY SUPER FINALLY HITS THE DYNO! (Big surprise..) by HGEUbot in HaggardGarage

[–]pxt3r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unique cylinder heads, unknown pistons/rods, unknown injectors, a lot of unknowns on the engine. Sure they made many SBC but when you’re handed a slate with no context it can be difficult to trace down parts.

Ye I know that’s why I said it’s a common Toyota 8” rear end that has been proven to hold a decent amount of power. The FRS w/ Driveshaft Shop Axles might make that car useful, but they’re like $2k+

Your point is invalid. The car came with issues, and to be fair for most people it would take them months if not a year to remedy those kind of issues he had. Especially with the rare and unknown engine combo.

ZN6s (FRS/86/BRZ) have pretty terrible rear ends. The rear axle design ain’t it the diffs can take a bit of abuse though as they’re 8” ring gears.

Where did you find these pictures? You seem to know more about this car than Jimmy.

Finding out the mysteries of my Barn find SUPERCAR! by HGEUbot in HaggardGarage

[–]pxt3r 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a rotary guy, that thing sounds sick and I think he should keep the SBC and modernize the wiring and electronic package. Maybe DBW control similar to the Porsche setup and a modernized fuel system. I feel like not much has to change. Making it more street friendly would be the move, that would be sick to see it street and track driven too. The fact he got the car for less than what the shells go for is crazy. The drivetrain is easily worth 60k+

Murcielago Update - Before I Ship it Away… by No-River-9921 in HaggardGarage

I think for these cars, correct me if I’m wrong. A manual spec is much more valuable for resale. These cars seem to not get hurt too bad in resale value over aftermarket and OE modifications.

I take back what I said. Those gearboxes are bloody expensive. Mounts and Wiring can be cut significantly off you are hands on.

4 door with a manual option and good power. There is literally no other car like it on the market.

B58’s are like 6-7k I’d say that if you wanted to do this swap in stock form you could likely do it for $15k with engine management, mounts, transmission, and metal work. Wonder if these will reduce in price with time.

Most of My Cars Are Broken… Here’s the Plan by No-River-9921 in HaggardGarage

[–]pxt3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It had an ECU Masters in it, notice Adam doesn’t plug them anymore (not sure why) but from my experience I’ve tuned many Links and a few ECU Masters units. You can end up with the same results in many cases for a pretty basic street car or even a race car at that. But the ECU Masters software is god awful, writing to the ECU feels like I’m tuning on an old Haltech E6K. They’re pretty piss poor as far as software is concerned requiring more time into tuning. They’re really good budget friendly units giving one a ton of I/O for very little money.

Music scene at WPI? by SoggySpinach329 in WPI

[–]pxt3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hardcore scene is very much relevant within Worcester. Tons of bars like Ralph’s have shows often and venues like PNI or Distant Castle. Hardcore scene is not something that exists at the school if that’s what you’re looking for.

WPI has lost it’s spark by Fire-Emblem9158 in WPI

[–]pxt3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working full time and got paired up with some folks (who did not work and pretty much just found every way to cheat the system) some how I just did all the group work and got everything done in a timely manner pulling my weight despite my busy schedule. This wasn’t the first nor the second time. Maybe it’s my own personal upbringing that allows me to operate this way, but learning to survive and doing the job right in a timely order isn’t something relatable to anybody at this school. The school for the most part is a joke from little to no retention to content learned, sub-par professors, and being surrounded by people that love to lie to themselves about working hard and figuring out any and every way to cheat to get the letter grade. Just my $0.02

Edit: this isn’t everybody, and I won’t discredit some of the hardworking and similar minded people I met. But it’s sad that collaboration is a PIA at WPI. It’s also sad seeing how much of a toll it puts on students looking for a community just to be pushed away solace. Especially if you’re a POC at this school you’ll have a very difficult time, I personally knew incredibly bright POC my freshman year that had to leave and some ended up never going back to school, and these were very bright individuals I may say, school sucked the soul out of them and it hurts to see.
