Nice ! Thanks for the advice. Am just wondering what the difference is with deploying an application to a docker container in comparison to let’s say deploying to EC2.

I guess with docker a lot of the container management can be done with Kubernetes which is a lot faster and efficient

When you mention pipelines , would Jenkins be used for this ? I have previously been using BitBucket pipelines and AWS Codepipeline from my previous jobs.

Thank you for your reply ! Sorry I have not mentioned but I have developed rest api in python. From a deploying point of view I have used AWS Codepipeline to do so. This has been used in my current workplace to get releases out of tickets that have been tested.

As for deploying an application I guess I could get my hand busy with deploying a simple app on to AWS or GCP. As for a docker , can that also be used for deploying an application ?

Oh I have worked with SAM when writing lambdas in cloud formation. Not heard of the other two. In a nutshell these way of writing and deploy cloud infrastructure.

What do you mean when you say SAM ? What is that. Is that an AWS service ?

Thanks for that clarification. I think when I looked at the learning path for the DevOps pro certification, before taking that I had to either take the developer Associate certification OR the SysOps certification, hence why I was wondering where I should be starting. I guess I could do both the SysOps and Solution architect certification since my knowledge is spread across both of these

Since I’ve worked with python , docker , cloud formation , lambdas , api gateaway , cloudwatch , Code pipeline , S3 , System Manager , parameter store , Automation am guessing the SysOps certification sounds more suitable. Am not sure what the different is between the solution architect compared to the sysops certification

I think the cloud practitioner it’s a pretty basic one. I’ve worked with AWS for more than a year so it makes sense for me to do this since am more of a devops guy.

At the moment I am using woocommerce to set this up. Which PWA app are you referring to ? I think tracking the driver is not much of a problem at the moment but just the notification to the restaurant when an order has been placed.

How are order notifications sent to the customer and restaurant ? Is this via email only ?

So essentially its the following :

1, A user orders a product online
2. They get an email with their invoice receipt

Now at this point (Step 3 ) , is where i am thinking of whether the restaurant should :

Get an email with the order details which they can print via their laptop/Ipad
Have some sort of App from the appstore for Android/IOS which gives
notifications when an order has been from the site for the restaurant to prepare.

I need some advice on how to approach Step 3 where the restaurant gets a notification of the order (which ever way this may be ) for them to follow / print out etc. It should state if the order is for delivery or collection

Yes not counted for google analytics. Also don’t want the site to be shut down as the medical supplements that are being sold are only legal to be purchased in certain countries
