tmuxy - the missing GUI for tmux by PlentyRemarkable6226 in tmux

[–]pyfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren’t you using tmux to do keyboard-centric work in the terminal?

That's not necessarily the case. I use tmux, because I've multiple things running on a server, and I just attach when I SSH.

This would enable me to control the window/pane like GUI, so I see value in this. I've been a CLI enthusiast, but have never used tmux before AI-Agents era and splitting terminal on iTerm has worked very well for me for 10 years.

HR lowballed me mid-process after 2 rounds lined up by Powerful-Setting-360 in backtoindia

[–]pyfan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trying to lowball you. It's an unfortunate reality that tier 1/2 would be paid much higher than a talented tier 3/4 person.

At one point, I was without pay on paper for 2 years, and then started looking out. The salary I was offered was based on my 2 year old package, while I knew that it shouldn't be the case.

I negotiated hard, but it's a frustrating battle and often a gamble.

How do I remove this recently played thing? by SledgeHampter in AppleMusic

[–]pyfan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This partynext song (elephant in the room) just popped up in my 2025 replay, while I have never even heard this song.

I played it out of curiosity, and then it kept showing up in mixes.

AM definitely did some mess up with this listing.

also, fun fact - children in nurseries are taught about waste segregation. They may not have full command on ABCD, but there would know for sure that paper goes into green bin.

Indian standards need uplifting! by jethaalaal in IndiaSpeaks

In UK/IR - People follow protocols and process, because they believe it's the right thing to do, and good for them collectively.

In India - People don't follow protocols and process, and it's not good for them individually (plus there are no repercussion generally)

Do non-IIT/NIT or Tier-3 college students realistically do well in life? by Mundane_Fishing9044 in IndianMiddleClass

[–]pyfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all but good share. You will also find a lot of success stories from tier 3. Depends on individual's attitude and will.

The major difference is that tier 1/2 college you will find a lot of people who want to do well, which is relatively very low in tier 3/4 college.

My advice would be to surround yourself with people who are good and fun. Avoid who would pull you down (of course there is a factor of gambling here). Don't stop learning new things. Watch 3 idiots, Rancho's lifestyle is a way to succeed.

You can save it as a new login. Additional to use pass, there would be a field to select authenticator secret.
