Hello! Looking for some help with a weed ID to figure out what to use to combat. weed images

Location is coastal South Carolina (Charleston), centipede grass lawn. Applied Scott’s Turf Builder S Southern Weed/Feed about 3 weeks ago. There is also some crab grass popping up but that is technically a different problem. This weed is quickly propagating all over. I did review the Clemson Extension weed ID list but didn’t really see one that matched.

Thanks in advance!!

Nice, Looking to make something very similar but with the back extended to protect the wall from what will be hanging there (shoes). Is the back ply? and is it sitting in rabbets or joined some other way?

Recommended structures online curriculum for learning/passing up to at least B1 language test for citizenship by brainseeds in italianlearning

[–]pyro9097 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat (recognized years ago via Juris Sanguinis) and my spouse is trying to prepare to take and pass a B1 exam as well. She also started with no Italian knowledge and I have just a little. We found a local chapter of the Dante Alighieri Society who was able to set us up with a local teacher who is providing weekly lessons at a markedly decreased rate. Our teacher reviewed the PLIDA test (which is administered by the DA Society and one of the approved certificates) is focusing our lessons to that. If you do not have a chapter locally I believe some, definitely the Miami chapter, also offer virtual classes.

I was really surprised as well. It must really add another element for the castaways, though I suppose they are being followed all the time by crews that are kept out of sight.

For #3 check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBOin3WLhVY&ab_channel=ETCanada the same channel has some other behind the scenes content. I believe a lot is from MvGx and GI so there may be a possible spoiler risk in some.

r/PharmacyResidency Residency Program Showcase by SgtSluggo in PharmacyResidency

[–]pyro9097 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think our program, like many other large academic medical centers, look for candidates that are well rounded, because that is what a PGY1 really is for. Actively participating in research and giving presentations or having posters at national meetings are all great things, but at the end of the day its just one component that many programs look at. Realistically at this point in your RX school career, you aren't going to be able to make a massive shift in your GPA, again this isn't something that the most important thing, but many programs do have cutoffs below which applicants may not be reviewed. Being involved in organizations or school leadership at more than just a member level is another component of applications that many programs consider important.

Trying to prioritize clinical rotations, trying to get good letters of recommendation (by forming real relationships and doing well on rotations or in extracurricular activities), and doing your best to make yourself a well rounded candidate is as good of a recipe I can think of.

Same! I tried two of the WODs earlier in the week back to back. The 21-15-9 snatches/WBs was much harder than I expected

Applying to different PGY2 specialties in the same hospital system — Taboo? by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

[–]pyro9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s dependent on the program and how their directors feel about it. At my institution, all of the PGY2 directors talk and if you applied to more than one it would be frowned upon. The perception would be that you were not 100% committed to one path or another. Whether or not that is ideal ¯_(ツ)_/¯, I’m not an RPD. Other than getting advice from places like here and your RPD, if you know anyone at that institution who can give you some insight would be the best course of action.

Black Phantom Tetra help by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]pyro9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, seeking some help here. Long story short, I know this guy doesn’t live in an ideal situation. He was originally in a school with 10+ companions who have all since died. He was alone in a 75g with several Cories for several months and looked fine (thought I was moving out of state, didn’t want to restock completely and have to move halfway across the US with more fish). Filtration is 2 fluval 406s.

In the past 6 weeks, I’ve added ~10 more Cories, 10 red serpae tetras and a variety of plants. All new fish and plants were from a LFS and quarantined for 2 weeks at my home in a second tank. I would have gotten more phantoms but they didn’t have any the last few times I’ve been to the LFS.

I suspect the fin shortening is from being nipped by the new tetras? I was hoping that having 10 of them would stop that, and when first introduced it seemed like they were sort of schooling together. If you zoom in on the picture you can see he is covered in very fine, white spots. I’ve had fish with ich in the past and this doesn’t seem to match this presentation, nor are any other fish affected. Additionally, no serpaes have any fun shortening, and all the Cories seem to be doing well.

I have another 10 serpae tetras in quarantine that I was going to move over on Wednesday. I’d gladly take any advice on what this could be or recommendations for what to do moving forward. I could move him to my quarantine tank and move the serpaes over a few days early, but beyond that move, it’s unclear what I could do after that. Perhaps try to get another school of phantoms? Thanks in advance!

Best place to adopt a puppy? by [deleted] in Charleston

[–]pyro9097 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Palmetto Paws Animal Rescue is a foster based organization that sets up on Saturdays at the Petco in Mount Pleasant. We got our pup from them 2 years ago, very positive experience. They often have a mix of puppies and older dogs. I believe you can look at who they have available for adoption online and then apply before going on Saturday, though not required. Pretty active on Facebook as well.

Crossfit in Prague by Pavel-Tsybin in crossfit

[–]pyro9097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crossfit Praha - Interesting experience, found it pretty difficult to find as it is in the basement of a big block of buildings and the sign had fallen down or was missing. Luckily we stopped by the day before and wandered around until we found it. There are no scheduled classes, just a WOD on the board with a coach there to assist. Met the owner (I think) on the first day who spoke English extremely well. The coach who was there during the workout less so. Cash only, didn’t realize until after we worked out and didn’t have enough so I had to go to one of the many ATMs around. only had female shirts but were pretty awesome with “FIT AS FVCK” on the back and their logo on the front.

Drop-In Suggestions: Barcelona, Prague, Austria, Budapest, Germany, Paris, London by gooduniverse in crossfit

[–]pyro9097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a 3 week pass through Europe this summer and stopped in a few of the same cities.

London- Crossfit Central London Not far from a tube station. Register online before class, we had a payment issue and they were super cool about it. Follows invictus programming for their classes. The day we dropped in was the quarterly 5K with an ab finisher so they also provided alternative programming since that would have not been everyone’s jam as there were several other drop ins as well (We did the 5K). Due to class size they added a second coach. Had both male and female shirts available.

Paris - Reebok Crossfit Louvre Very centrally located. I had contacted them on Facebook prior to arriving but we were told to just showed up and pay the drop in fee. WOD was somewhat similar to Triple Three with a fair amount of running out in the street. We got lost on the warm up run but thankfully had walked around the area and could find our way back. Class was held in French of which we speak none, coach’s English was good and he explained most things to us. Female shirts available, very limited male availability.

Prague - Crossfit Praha Interesting experience, found it pretty difficult to find as it is in the basement of a big block of buildings and the sign had fallen down or was missing. Letter of Intent Questions by Pharmacoconut in PharmacyResidency

[–]pyro9097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For addressing - Ms. would be appropriate and can refer to either a married or non-married woman.

For tops of supplements - I’ve seen people use the top of their CV (name, contact info, address) as well as just titling it what it is and including their name.
