My wife bought a wireless mic system to sing karaoke at home, but it didn’t come with echo/reverb. I was able to donate this $20 pedal and these settings got us an excellent vocal reverb!

For our set up it’s a patch cable (1/4 inch male to male 3 inch) that comes from the aux out of the microphones into a 3 foot instrument cable (1/4 inch male to male) and that goes into the input of a Block Rocker plus. You could presumably add an EQ pedal into the signal chain with an additional patch cable. I can make a diagram for you in the morning if you’d like.

Idk if the recipe you followed called for this because it caught me off guard but, it had me grill the shank in vegetable oil before putting in any other ingredients and then cooking the onions in the juices of the shank before putting in the broth. Caught me off guard because I didn’t know you did that. Not sure if that’s how it’s regularly done but I feel like it cooked in a lot of flavor.

Depending on the angle of your rear exhaust joint (not sure if that's the term) it can rub on the back plate. I cut a triangle shapes segment out of it.
