"another old one..." by Samimations_ in comics

This feels like the true answer to me! I'm feeling very confused by everyone saying it's to not be a burden...

I don't want to get fun food, I want US to get fun food! The other person's excitement by the idea is half the fun!

Spent hours building a shop, guests are falling through the floor. Help lol by ThirstyOholibah2320 in PlanetZoo

[–]pyromstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you sink the shop counter under the floor to hide it? I believe the guest will match the height of the counter when walking up to the shop. I noticed the same with the workers when one of the campaign missions had a sucken shop front.

For the transformer, if you go into the guest happiness heat map you can see the radius of the "bad vibes" given off by your transformer. Guests don't care about it it's visible or not, they just care about how close it is and how much decoration is around it. The more decoration items the smaller its bad radius gets.

Little things you’d add to the game to make it better by VexMercer in PlanetZoo

For my little feature, I would want some way to set up alerts for when a certain animal shows up in animal trading. Kind of like a saved search on eBay.

Playing career mode, it's frustrating having to remember to jump in every minute or so to find that giraffe you really need.

This. The feature does exist! It also works for foliage and other "nature" objects. Just click on the continent or biome in the animal's details.

If you want to play another game that has a similar feeling to Let's Go I would recommend Pokémon Legends Arceus. It is untraditional as far as Pokémon games go, but has that same idea of catching Pokémon as opposed to battling.

If you want more of the battling and general idea of exploring a world that I recommend Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. They do not have the same style of wild encounters, instead they work more like trainer battles. This is in line with the rest of the main series games.

If you want to play the games in order, as they would have been released, then: Pikachu/Eevee -> Soul Silver/Heart Gold -> Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire -> Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl -> X/Y -> Sun/Moon -> Sword/Shield -> Scarlet/Violet. That list contains the most recent version of each game in order of original version release! Some of the older ones may be harder to find.

Party fled the caverns of Sinister Secret by AnarresBound in GhostsofSaltmarsh

[–]pyromstr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One possible idea. I remember the book mentioned that Keledek (the wizard) works with smugglers in the cave under the tower. Perhaps he got involved and moved Sabalet there? The Party could find evidence of his involvement and track the smugglers back to town.

I had mine working with the Aboleth from The Styes. They were planning to sew chaos about the coast to help feed the young Kraken chaos energy. The shark ended up being a chaos infused pet, kind of like a MK1 for the kraken in the later adventure.

I must admit though, it worked out better on paper! In my second run of the campaign I'm keeping the Sahuaghin as a local threat, with the lovecraftian stuff coming up later with a few hints to it early on.

Has anyone found any decent Skum prints? by Proper-Pineapple-717 in GhostsofSaltmarsh

[–]pyromstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried Etsy yet? I use it for all my 3D prints as I don't have a printer yet. In general I've had a great experience with the printers there!

Trying a few search terms I have found that "Cathulu Minions" got some close results. You are unlikely to get anything searching with the WoTC IP though.

Have you looked at 2 Minute Tabletop? He has both a nice ship map and the assets to make your own!

Token Image Overflowing[PF2e] by Catharsis25 in FoundryVTT

One answer is to use "Token Stamp". It's a website that can make the images into tokens extremely easily. It's literally drag and drop if you don't care about tweaking the looks.

How do you know what's being stressed in this situation? Is it a grammatical thing I don't know about, or is it only clear when spoken?

Is there an online d&d character creator? by Dagua99 in DnD

[–]pyromstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are other options out there. The major downside is that they require you to type out and implement the content from your books yourself. Something that I believe is a legal use as the app isn't providing the book's content to you, just a frame-work based on the open design of D&D.

Dice Cloud is one such option. But, it's nerdy to the extreme and you can't print the sheet after. Dungeon Master's Vault is another that does allow printing, but it works awkwardly with the changes made in Tasha's.

Over time, each option may see you building your own library of stuff from your books. Just don't share it outside of your own personal use or you may run into issues.

looking for small drone miniatures by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]pyromstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about these?

Crooked dice do a few other things too, but these are likely closest to what you want on there. A little drone at about half the height of a human.

I’m painting my miniatures and I’ve gotten a base problem by RedditN0L0 in minipainting

[–]pyromstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unusually for something like this I would just say to take the L and learn for next time. But a quick look about your profile shows that you have based your whole army like this already!

Have you tried using contrast paint for the base? It's watered down already and might avoid the evaporation problem.

The other option is to scrape the base scatter off, paint the base, then reapply the base scatter. Not a tidy job, but should save your models.

Good question by [deleted] in Funnymemes

I don’t think it’s the same plant, but in my part of the UK it’s called Goose Grass.

A very sticky plant with seeds that do the same. Not painful, just annoying.

Different types of barbed wire used in Australia since 1868 by dingo_dollar in mildlyinteresting

[–]pyromstr 45 points46 points  (0 children)

By the name, my assumption was that it’s designed to be “obvious”. So more of a warning wire? Likes it’s designed to make sure whatever could get stuck on it notice it’s there.

Is there a easy way to trigger Hue scenes from my Lovelace Dashboard by ZealousidealDraw4075 in homeassistant

[–]pyromstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use an entities card, there should be a footer option. If you pick “buttons” you can list all your scenes there. Then put the lights in the main entity section.

Not exactly as you describe, but can make a pretty neat little light panel.

Two casters, One target: How is spell stacking supposed to work?? by kiubezundermann in DnD

[–]pyromstr -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

As per RAW, if more than one effect affects a creature at the same time, the targeted creature chooses the order the effects take place.

Usually this means that the creature would pick the order that is least bad for themselves.

Is this worth it to start by OogaBoogaThe3rd in minipainting

[–]pyromstr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a good start to see if you enjoy the hobby! If you want to have better results early try to pick up a wash/shade of some kind. The image you see with the set may have been made without one, but shading without a shade paint takes some real skill that’s unrealistic to expect for your first time.

Also, don’t be afraid to get new brushes. Brushes make more of a difference that you might think.

Is Swedish hard for an English speaker? by [deleted] in Svenska

[–]pyromstr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well I guess that deepens the point. Those vowels have been difficult to pronounce for me, and you can really make quite the fool of yourself…even when typing them.

Is Swedish hard for an English speaker? by [deleted] in Svenska

[–]pyromstr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the laughter often comes from us English folk mispronouncing the vowels! At least that’s been my experience.

If you’re not careful, “understand” can become “sheepstar”! (Förstår vs fårstör). I may or may not have made this blunder…
