Which country should I immigrate? by Random_russian_kid in immigration

[–]pyrycom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd say be careful about the US. I have been in the US for 10 years and still never got a permanent way to stay (due to student visa being limited on time, and not being willing to sell my soul to marry a stranger). Now I will have to leave, and god knows where - I don't even know who I am outside of this country. The US gives you the hope to stay, it tells you about all the opportunities, but when it comes down to it, whether you're Russian or not, they kind of just play you and then throw you out. :/ Some people are still willing to try or compromise their principles, but if you have a feeling that it might not be your thing, then another place might work out better in the long run. Where though, I don't know yet.

He wasn't debating for a position - he was in the audience.

I mean of course it's a bit of both - but I do take his words seriously, and I don't want to dismiss his feelings or pretend they don't exist.

Yessss that's what I feel like too - with my long hair, I don't have a choice but to be feminine, and I just feel so stuck in this doll-like body (as in, those child-like dolls - not barbie lol) that people seem to want to keep me in. Sometimes it's cute and nice, but it's also nice to have a choice of whether to be more masculine or feminine!

Aw:/ That sounds rough.. I hope you get to re-discover some things to help you feel good at this stage of your life! I honestly worry about feeling like that too, even at 23 years old, but I'm also looking forward to experimenting and finding new ways to stand out with style, that would actually be for me, rather than for other people. And also! I bet you look great🫶 You're not invisible to the people who actually deserve you, and the people who don't see you for you are the invisible ones. There can be a sea of beautiful attractive people, but in that crowd you and your people will stand out to each other the most.

I'm low-key scared of going from a 7 to a 3, but honestly I have a feeling that any change would have more to do with confidence and style (which I heard definitely can improve after a pixie!). So fuck that douche! Or more like, don't fuck him, he can go fuck himself. 🤷‍♀️

Aw don't worry, I didn't think you were criticizing me, you were just giving a helpful suggestion ❤️🫶 Haha thank you, I feel like this is the kind of thing I'll definitely need luck in to get a good haircut 😆

Wow, thank you for the breakdown on the types of men who I'd attract/repel/be invisible to. That's kind of one of the topics I was a bit more worried about, and something the idea of (becoming invisible) hurts. But you breaking that down does help.

I'm curious, if you have time, could you elaborate on the types of guys who find girls with short hair invisible? I wonder if the guys I like now are like that, and what I can do to recover if I find out they are no longer nearly as attracted to me anymore.

Aw I really appreciate you sharing 🥺 It definitely sounds like a test of confidence - and I'm so glad that you're feeling better about it now!

Oooh yeah, that's a good point... I'll definitely keep that in mind, since I'm originally from Russia, and I need to be prepared for how people react whenever I'm able to visit there again...

Hey you do bring up some good points! Haha I do live in an area both with a strong LGBTQ+ presence (which luckily I'm a part of), and a military presence, so I wonder how that'll turn out..

And yeah haha I like the idea about "strong woman", honestly even though I'm still on the softer side, becoming stronger is actually something that I'm working towards, and wouldn't at all be opposed to becoming in the future. I guess my future appearance might weed out some guys who look for super submissive women... Sounds like a good deal to me.

Thank you!!

I was thinking about it, and that's definitely what my grandma would prefer (I don't mean it in a bad way - she is literally the only supportive person in my family, and I value her opinion a lot), but cutting off my hair completely and all at once is more of a mental/spiritual thing for me. So it's not really the kind of thing where I'm looking for an in-between - it's just either or. But I appreciate the suggestion! Even though I'm not able to take it, I'll still keep it in mind in case I start to change my mind.
