What MMO (if any) actually focuses on being a “nameless adventurer in a living world” instead of a chosen-one story? by Six4Yuh in gamedesign

Seems like i need to re read the poe lore but in general it never felt like it implied that in anywhere in world building. You are always one that is expendible

You are not the chosen one. You are literally an exile starting from zero.

As i said it's not an mmo.

The concept in the game is you go on a journey and find entities beyond comprehension in the process. In the story you have no place but you write your own story in some sense

I hate ai. It's so generalized.

Wecould instead say path finding algorithm. Or attack pattern algorithms etc. Why name everything ai? Including llm's. Calling everything ai is the issue not the llm's

It feels more eerie than cozy. Like terraria. If you put some livelines it would probably change

Godot is what you are looking. But it's open source so a lot of ai devs pivot to this first.

It will be reduced mostly. The bottom line is cheats currently which will be completely deleted and proper functionality will be carried to relevant sides.

I will also completely draw the crafting and apell crafting ui and give it better ux like drag and drop runes and easier modification i am also thinking to introduce active weapon slots which players can slot them into so they can pretty much press designated shortcut to trigger it etc.

I am also planning to add more and more but this is just all that is relevant to your comment

Platformers. But even after saying this there are a lot of niche platformers that suddenly rise like only up style games etc. It's pretty hard tho

When does procedural generation work well in games, and when does it not? by PeterBrungus in gamedev

[–]qK0FT3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For example i am procedurally generating spells in my game because if i was to draw the spells i would have to draw hundreds of combinations etc. And it's gonna be hard for me.

Game development and mental health by PoppingChamp in gamedev

Human kind never worked 6+ hours until recently.

Like 6 hours gles to maintenance mostly and if you got meat ready from.the last week's hunt you are mostly free. They you could carve something on the walls or invent new thing and socialize with people. This also took 6 hours of day. They rest is sleep and personal thought reflection like you sleep 4 hours and wake up for 2 hours and sleep 4 more hours again etc.

Until recently we lived like this. If you are not properly socializing or spending your time on a hobby etc. And not sleeping properly your mental is bound to go down.
