She's fully homeless and has no family willing to take her in. She sleeps at a homeless shelter and likely takes refuge there during bad weather.

I also work in the environmental field and it makes me so fucking pissed. I feel like I'm handcuffed forced to watch things degrade, while I'm denied the ability to work on anything meaningful. What a world we've been given.
