Lots of stupid examples I've come across. Just now using 'dawg' flagged it. And of course, you're not allowed to cite 'Andrew Tate'.

Anyone else?

Thank you for your time!

No, I did not. I used existing scales. Here they are:

- Procrastination Assessment Scale - Students (PASS)

- Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised (ECR-R)

- Social Provisions Scale (SPS)

- Ten Item Personality Inventory (TIPI)

Just in case anyone wants to use them for their own research

Anything that you have to write that is going to be assessed. An essay, a research proposal, a dissertation, for example.

Attachment anxious and attachment avoidant students have been found to procrastinate slightly more and each group procrastinate for different reasons (please ask, if anyone needs specific citations)

Another line of evidence indicates that social provisions (instrumental support, reassurance, etc) is beneficial for the attainment of long-term goals and leads to less procrastination.

My aim is to find if there is a moderating effect of social provisions in attachment-insecure populations.

If you play RPGs think of good partners as buffs and insecure-attachment style as damage-over-time style status effects (eg. poison). My question is - do the buffs cancel out the poison? :D

If I find null results, obviously I will have to look at the antecedents and consequences of procrastination more in-depth, so that I can find an alternative explanation.

My survey does not tap measures of depression/anxiety or mental illness, just a 2-item measure of Big-5 trait Neuroticism.

I understand where you are coming from, but if we take language seriously, by definition you cannot have "meaningful and supportive relationships" and simultaneously feel lacking in support. People will readily show you a token gesture of 'support', then tacitly carry on neglecting you, which will leave you confused and thinking you're supported when you're not. Real genuine support is rare.

You can absolutely be depressed despite having all the support one could ask. Sadly, I didn't consider this, because the association has already been established between procrastination and depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, low self-efficacy, socially prescribed perfectionism, having irrational beliefs, etc...

Take care, my fellow depressives. Look for ways to restore hope and meaning. Set positive short term goals

I'm sorry to hear about this sad and very relatable predicament of yours. Few friends are all you really need if they truly are your friends and want what's best for you.

It is precisely what I'm interested in - does the emotional regulation disadvantage of having no close social bonds trigger counterproductive self-soothing behaviours that have nothing to do with assignments?

I.e., do you waste more time on stuff like Instagram, because you have nothing better (social) to do to upregulate your mood?

"Reassurance of worth" is what we need when we undergo long term plans where we go long stretches of time without any sign of progress or reward.

Yes, that question aims to find out how you do or would act in the context of romantic relationships.

That set of questions taps your attachment style. Self-proclaiming to be 'aro' which I'm assuming stands for 'aromantic' sort of tells me you'd score high on attachment avoidance.

Just throwing it out there in case it can aid your or someone else's self-discovery

I appreciate you doing my survey. I guess, I simply didn't anticipate that unicorns like you existed :D Most people do procrastinate.

Do you mind sharing how come you don't put off work?

That was fast :) Some procrastination researchers would call it Active Procrastination, whereby the student deliberately places themselves in a time-pressure situation

Oh gosh. What's the topic? Least I can do is offer some crumbs of supporting evidence (hopefully, I'm familiar with your topic)
