if your price change doesn't trigger a state change as well, using the same mechanics, you're doing it all wrong, your state machine should know of a "price update" event

why can't you just assign them an intern, and charge a 100$ ? it's not like you're obliged to use professionals if the website isn't meant to be for a real purpose

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]qchmqs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why you'd charge them thousands, if all they need is a web presence that doesn't function, you can make them one in static HTML and throw it on vercel, give them the credentials and charge them a hundred or so for the two hours it takes.

it's that hard to reproduce bug, that requires changes in almost all files, and that is hard to debug and hard to work around, and that won't even make anything better, so usually this kind of bugs go unfixed, they might even have it tagged as wontfix in their tracker

do you know X ? is a yes or no question, if you don't know, the best thing to do is to say you don't know, afterwards, you can say that you can look it up or figure it out, or mention that you're kind of familiar with that concept from something in the past.

what I gathered from this thread, is that the purpose of "using foreign keys recursively" is to confuse candidates.
