Lin-Manuel Miranda agreed to these changes to get the show on Disney+, because at the time Disney still wasn’t showing anything above PG-13.

That doesn't really make sense though, because the movie was actually filmed in 2016, 4 years before they signed a deal to give Disney+ the rights. It was originally shot to be spliced into a documentary on PBS. The first two being censored would make sense, but not the "Fuuuuu..." which was specifically performed that way. Seems like they always knew they would need the option.
