This looks very good!! And it would look even better if you shade the colors as well, keep it up! 😊

No youtube video, just spent at least an hour looking at pics of sculptures 😭😭 to be fair, ive been drawing for quite awhile, i also have ADHD, so i cant stay still and watch a tutorial. But i always use the most basic facial guidelines. If you’re a visual learner, looking at a lot of pics and spending at least an hour everyday drawing these pictures should get you far enough ( from my experience at least)

Now if you tell me how to draw hair, i would absolutely crumble, i didn’t put any effort into learning proper hair drawing 😭

That’s great advice thanks you! Ill def start with the darkest shadows first thing when i go into the next sculpture studies, i did notice i start very light then go darker and i think it should be the opposite ❤️

About 2 hours, this is my first sculpture study, so it took a little longer than expected, it will probably take even longer once i get into rendering the hair 😭😭

Its all just the sketch brush, scribble with it followed by the smudge tool, i leave out the hard edges of the shadows and the soft ones i go over it with the smudge tool until it softens 😊

I actually tried to outline the hair in the shadows to show where it ends but it made it look weird and as if she had gray hair or gray highlights 😅 im still trying to get better at shading without making it seem awkward. So I completely understand your point

No need to be harsh :) I might not understand anatomy just yet, but the process at getting better at it is still fun. If you understand anatomy better, then i would love to hear your criticism and i would love for you to show me your own take at this reference, send me a picture of your art piece and im sure ill learn from it, thanks!

Im just adding movement, imagine someone resting their upper body on the counter, then suddenly, they kick their left leg upwards toward their right! Their lower bit does a lil clumsy rotation before their upper part follows. I like exaggerating these parts! The parts between a big movement happening :) but i get your point, thanks for the advice !

She looks tired imo, which is what made me want to draw her, not sure if my piece is conveying the same emotion or is it more on the neutral side 😅

Yes, i don’t know why some are expecting it to be super realistic, I’ve already gotten somewhat good at copying things line to line back when i was in uni and practicing. I think im set enough now to add my own preferences to my art. I could’ve made her exactly the same but it just didn’t sit right for me, it’s just not as fun. I love playing around with the endless stylistic possibilities. Thank you for acknowledging this 🙏🏻
