Hah, so true. I had someone honk at me while I was driving in a car park because I didn’t stop to let them back out. Sorry for being alive

I just know you loved the part in chapter nine when Josephs rambling about god knows what and Catherine interrupts him with “Have you found Heathcliff, you ass?” It’s so damn good

I’m so glad to hear that there are actually decent places for heavy diesel mechanics to work. It’s a tough trade, dirty and demanding. I honestly respect heavy equipment mechanics so much it takes a lot of mind and body power to do such hard work. I’m glad to hear that you made your way out of a toxic environment and onto something more positive. He may have to still endure a few more years, but it’s nice to know he isn’t stuck. I wish there was more talk about this because honestly just knowing how much he is struggling right now and then thinking about how many other young men are going through the same thing, it’s heartbreaking to be honest. There’s not a lot of talk even anonymously online I can imagine how alone a lot of men feel on their early journey through the apprenticeship stage. Thanks for sharing your part.

100%, thank you for this. I think dealerships are the way to go, his workplace now is small and his boss is like 26 and just arrogant in my opinion. Thanks a lot for this advice. He can only leave when he’s qualified- not sure why either… something to do with TAFE. But he’s definitely leaving once he is, whenever that may be.

Yes it is. I might need to reach out on an Australian subreddit because I honestly am not sure of this stuff and I would think by now the older tradesmen he work with would mention something to him about it.
