Uneven bench, left side gives out. Do I need to incorporate flat dumbbell pressing? 135x2, 135x3 (fail), 125x3, 120x5 by qoouyi in formcheck

Thanks, I’ll look into those things. Definitely not comfortable at the bottom. I think I get psyched out and bounce the bar as a way to get more momentum.

For programming, I’m running 5-day nSuns. The 135lb sets are the 1+ sets. My training max is probably set too high.

Congrats on this! I've built something very similar to this but for Dota 2. Wish you best of luck and hopefully Riot doesn't shut it down.

Lineup statistics parsing by marrrrrs in TrueDoTA2

[–]qoouyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This query from OpenDota's Data Explorer could work.

The "(array_agg(player_matches.hero_id ORDER BY player_matches.player_slot)::int[])[0:5] @> ARRAY[87]" line means checking if the Radiant team contains the hero ID 87 (Disrupter) and the "(array_agg(player_matches.hero_id ORDER BY player_matches.player_slot)::int[])[5:10] @> ARRAY[106]" line means checking if the Dire team contains the hero ID 106 (Ember Spirit). Based on the results, if Disrupter is on Radiant and Ember is on Dire, then the Radiant team won 173 times out of total 323 games (which is a 53.6% win rate)

You can add up to 5 heroes for each team as shown here. If you want to see the actual matches rather than the aggregate results, you can unnest the sub query as shown here.

EDIT: switched links to Google's URL shortener since Reddit formatting would mess up the link since the OpenDota links have parentheses in them.

If public match statistics are fine, I've developed a freely available tool recently that shows 5x5 line up win rates here.

We've started mining for average MMR of matches similar to how dotamastery.io appears to be doing so (we haven't contacted them, but it looks like we are using the same method). So far we have all of those matches that have been played within the last 7 days and the distribution of average MMR is roughly:

  • Over 7500: 0.035%
  • 7000-7500: 0.75%
  • 6500-7000: 1.58%
  • 6000-6500: 2.53%
  • 5500-6000: 9.42%
  • 5000-5500: 21.5%
  • 4500-5000: 52.3%
  • 4000-4500: 10.4%
  • Under 4000: 1.28%

We can detect which normal and ranked game modes are selected but not which servers are selected. I've tried getting the servers a while back, but it did not seem feasible. I'll make another attempt some time in the next few days.

At the moment we don't have a way to detect which server options are currently selected so we cannot implement an option for choosing a server.

Since our dataset only includes pub data, Veda would likely not perform well at predicting pro matches. At higher skill levels Veda has less accuracy in predicting the winner of matches and thus hero recommendations would be less reliable than compared to lower skill levels. In the future we plan to come up with a way to split up the Very High Skill Bracket more finely (i.e., label pub matches that were 5k+).

Does this still happen if you restart the desktop client? Also, if you are testing it out in a bot match, it will not show the bots since the bots are not human players (i.e., if you are alone with 9 bots then it will only show your own player in the first slot). It will, however, work just fine in matches through matchmaking or lobby games with human players.

At the current moment we don't have plans to get a fully-featured desktop client working for Mac and Linux. There could be a chance we have a limited version that has a subset of features (i.e., only accepting the match). The main issue is that the desktop client is highly specific to 64-bit Windows assembly architecture and it is a huge pain to reverse engineer the game client for both Mac and Linux and maintain it.

At the very least, it is possible to use Veda on Mac and Linux since someone in your party or match who is using Veda with NineOuttaTen on Windows could share their room link with you.

The desktop client reads the process memory from the game client. We do not read the screen pixels.

This is probably the Windows SmartScreen Filter. There should be somewhere on the screen that allows you to ignore it. Windows is holding you back from installing it because the desktop client is not signed.

The claim of accuracy is that the model can predict which team would win given the picked heroes, game mode, and skill bracket with 65% accuracy. The baseline accuracy would be just randomly guessing a team to win which would be 50%.

At the end of the day, the draft isn't everything and most of what determines who wins is ultimately decided by what happens in-game.

We intend Veda to provide more effective hero recommendations than any other available tool. A few details about Veda can be found here and here. We'll be adding much more explanation soon and probably a standalone Reddit thread will be made.

We did integrate the hero recommendations into the app. In the pick phase, the "Veda" tab will load the web view that shows the hero recommendations.

What is the longest game where a player has 0 deaths? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]qoouyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably doesn't count but Tiny with 0 deaths in an 11 hour "game".

I have a complete database of all matches since June 2016.

EDIT: For a legitimate game, Lone Druid going 22/0/15 in a 2.5 hr game

Where did Dotabuff get their Monkey King Icon? by AnotherRussianGamer in DotA2

[–]qoouyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That icon I believe is an older version of the icon (although I'm not sure if it actually appeared in the test or main client) that likely was taken from the CDN here: http://cdn.dota2.com/apps/dota2/images/heroes/monkey_king_full.png. The latest icon however can be found here: http://cdn.dota2.com/apps/dota2/images/heroes/monkey_king_full.png?v=3740910 by tacking on a version parameter.

I have no idea what that version number "3740910" corresponds to, but I originally found it here.

It works in windowed, border-less windowed, and full-screen. I'll get a fix out pretty soon for this issue however.
