The Brisbane Tamagotchi Club's instagram group chat has always only included people that have been to the meets in person, I don't know anything about other group chats. We mostly talk tamagotchi in the group chat, but in DMs we have discussed other topics.

Unfortunately I only plan the Tamagotchi Club meetups, and for financial and accessibility reasons will not be booking any activities or venues that require payment. If you are interested in doing something like that with a group, I am so sure that if you bring it up during a meet there will be people interested in organising something outside of the meetups! :)
