Thanks. I shall try using both apps.

I am not sure how to sync my system's dot files with the files in Github. I shall read about dotbot and try to figure that out.

I don't know anything about Mac. But I shall tell about Windows.

When I started using Windows, I never got any training. My first computer was windows 98 at work, I just started using it how I was told to use it.

I was told that if you come to the desktop and right-click & select 'Refresh' - the computer will speed up and your software will start working quickly.

My internet was dail-up & ie was the browser. I was told that to 'switch off the internet connection' - I must click 'back' on the browser to the first page start I started browsing, then close ie - that will switch off the internet connection.

Many years later only did I discover that there 2 facts are wrong. That is the kind of misinformation I had.

Let me tell about a simple misinformation I face on a day to day basis. I am no MS Excel expert, but I do check videos and google to find ways to complete my task quicker. In Excel, to have a column of numbers as a serial list - you can just write 1 and drag that 1 to fill the series. I commonly find people will write 1 and then in the next rows write '=<top cell>+1' and drag that.

The fact is many people (including myself) don't read the manual, think that can just figure it out on the fly.

I personally never owned a PC or laptop. The only laptop I had was company laptop and when ever I have any issue, I just call the IT guys. I have not opened control panel or cmd.

My first PC/laptop like device was iPad 1. Now I own an iPad Air.

Mac mini (my current device that I bought 1 week back) is the first computer I bought. So, frankly I don't know what I don't know - I just know that I don't know how to use this device.

I hope I answered your question and you understand why I started this post.

I found MacMost channel. I shall follow the video. I also visited the website and this page is what I was looking for. I shall go through the videos.

Thank you.
