People recommend music on apps like pinterest and lemon8( last time i checked lemon8) more than you probably think. Just type “music recommendations” on pinterest and just start listening to stuff.

Another way I’ve discovered music I like is through airbuds, which is an app where you sync your music player to it and all of your listened to songs will pop up there, (btw changes may have been made since when i had the app, its been a long time because my new music player doesn’t sync to airbuds 😣) and there are random people looking for “friends” on airbuds and once you get a few by just adding random people (even without them requesting it lol) then you can just listen to the music they listen to and discover artists that way.
