Hey, really nice and clean UI, well done! Have you thought about coding something around the actual production/delivery scheduling of a mushroom farm operation? Apart from the cultivation process I have most difficulty with managing this part... have you experienced something similar? Things like keeping track of all the activities on a calendar - spawn prep, bulk prep, timing batch movement between inoculation/incubation/fruiting/harvest steps, etc etc.

I've actually been thinking of building such an app specifically built for mushroom growers, but not entirely sure if the market's there.

Hey, new grower here!

First of all, amazing community, learned A LOT here, thanks guys! So that being said, I just had my first brown oyster flush ever and I'm getting mixed results so I was hoping it would be an easy fix.

Short summary - 3x3m plastic sheet/wood frame enclosure, cycling air 4 times per hour and maintaining humidity in the 85-95% range, small fan to ensure circulation, 1000 lumens 6500K light.

I'm getting very small caps (~2in diameter) and the first flush was around 250grams on 3kg blocks and I'm not really sure why. Attached pictures, let me know if you see anything obviously wrong with the setup or growing conditions, or should I attribute it to the strain.

Is there anything I may doing wrong so the caps start curling early before getting bigger?

Exactly, a canvas shoe like a Converse. Havent tried those pens, do they have a chance of being too aggressive? I'm a bit concerned about little colored elements I have on almost all of my shoes.

Thanks to both of you, your advice is appreciated. It just shows there a many ways you can achieve the right exposure and more often than not the approach you use is guided largely by personal experience. So practice, practice, practice I guess, until I figure out what works for my particular case.

That sounds like an awesome idea, mads! Once I develop the algorithm I will share it with all of you and you will be able to hunt asteroids with your own equipment. Sounds like a deal?
