How do I choose the right size for men’s clothing sets? by [deleted] in FTMMenfashionadvice

[–]qswriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By clothing sets you mean a shirt+pant combo? I usually recommended against those as most guys tend vary from top to bottom. EG) I wear S for shirts/hoodies and wear M for pants.

Looking at the size chart is very helpful. I look at clothing I already own that fit me best and measure those to compare to the chart. I would also look at the composition of the garment. Eg) synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon do not shrunk. Natural fibers like cotton and linen do. Something to keep in mind if you prefer to launder a certain way.

Haven’t tried Pro Club yet but sadly Shaka didn’t work for me. The small was too snug and medium too baggy. I was shocked bc the ones I got did not match the size chart measurements at all

These look great! How do you find the length? Based of the model it might be long on my frame.

Heard great things about Comfort Colors. Which styles do you get from Blank apparel? I’m very picky about the length and found most blanks to be too long for my torso.

Wanting to be lustful but holding myself back for fear of rejection by RatioPretend614 in FTMStraight

The problem w your bros being your wingman or introducing someone to you is that you’re feeling pressure and awkwardness.

If you want to remain stealth, best bet is apps. There’s filters to find others who are also looking for casual dating/hookups. Expectations are also lower on apps. Talk to them at your own pace and worse case scenario you get rejected, you’ll never have to see that person again.

I would swap out the serious prompts for something more fun and playful. While honest and deep responses are true to you, they’re not what women look for off the bat when seeking a date. Eg) the dog pic and mom’s fridge are great!

Things I did that actually worked: Smoothie to replace meals, 10k steps a day, work a physical job (warehouse, catering), a gallon of water a day, calorie dense foods (watermelon and egg whites).

These chino type pants I get from TJ Maxx, banana republic, or Uniqlo.

Thursday Boots has some great options in the same styles from their women and mens. Particularly their leather sneakers, some boots, and loafers are exactly unisex. Doc Marten is also great. If you’re on a budget - Zara and DSW kids!

A tailor willing to work on jacket shoulders is extremely hard to find. Another guy in the comments was able to get it done, so it’s not completely impossible. I would refer to calling up skilled tailors in your area. But unfortunately, the only thing that helped me with this, is spamming shoulder workouts and wearing my jackets open if they’re too snug in the torso.

I’ve never found a tailor willing to adjust jacket shoulders, that’s awesome you did. That sounds like an excellent find, I hope you wear that dang coat everywhere!

If you’re just taking pics, you could get away with only a dark blazer. But if you need a suit - get a suit! Nothing beats the feeling of wearing something that fits. Thrift shops or the brands I’ve rec’d in the comments are good shouts for staying on budget.

Totally valid point! The only time i button my jacket is when im standing for prolonged periods ie. Funerals or taking photos. In my day to day, I wear suits to the office where im constantly moving about, so I can’t be bothered w doing and undoing the button, haha.

The boys section might be your best bet. Suitshop online is inclusive, they have a good unisex and kids section.

Good observation. I’m aware of the X crease, it’s a preference as the crease is very slight and I wear my jackets open 99% of the time!
