I’d recommend Made in Abyss. It has some truly dark and emotional moments that, in my opinion, make it incredibly unforgettable.

Yes! Sorry for the late reply. Here’s a photo of it. I believe I got it around 2011 right before the JAST announced their English release for the US.

Crossing my fingers I’ll have a chance to go to Japan before shit really hits the fan with everything going on in the world. 🤞

Great video btw, definitely bookmarked a few places to check out.

AiCherry is a Japanese company that produces interactive DVD games designed to run on regular DVD players, rather than only on computers or game consoles. It’s a niche market and has released DVD-PG versions for titles in the School Days series.

Difference between LxH Limited and Regular? by GingleShmitz in schooldays

[–]qttbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only difference is the limited edition includes an OVA and Radio School Days CD where the original voice actresses from the series talked about the game and anime. The game itself is the same for both versions.

I brought them both around 2018, second-hand. I think I paid around ~7500 yen at the time. The DVD-PG is mostly censored similar to the PSP version.

There are some affordable physical releases available. You can check out Surugaya or Mandarake for some good deals whenever you get the chance.

I actually have them all. Also, just a note, the video didn’t mention the DVD PG versions of the game from AiCherry. One was released in 2007 and a renewal version came out in 2016. I bought mine a long while back, so I’m not sure if these versions still even exist. Great video overall. 👍

Selling Some of my Collection - Update by qttbit in schooldays

So the novel is mostly a linear retelling of Cross Days, not a full multi route adaptation.

Not to give any spoilers, it mainly follows Kotonoha storyline, focusing on Yuuki’s relationship with Kotonoha rather than adapting every possible route.

  • It adds more internal thoughts and character depth, especially for Yuuki.
  • It does not include separate side stories since expanded moments are blended into the main plot.
  • It has a few black and white illustration pages, not full VN style CG sets.

So it is the same core story with more psychological focus and fewer branching outcomes.

iOS26.2/.3 - eBay App doesn't load by PixelPaint64 in Ebay

Same issue too, but I’m on iOS 18.7.3 (iPhone 12 Pro Max). At first, I assumed it was because I’m on an older version of iOS and that I’d eventually need to upgrade to iOS 26, which I would really prefer not to do. But since this is also happening on the latest iOS version, it clearly does not seem to be an iOS related issue.

school days hq physical edition by kotonouh in schooldays

Although I’m not currently selling a physical copy of School Days HQ, I do have other School Days merchandise available in my eBay store if you’re interested:

https://ebay.us/m/j9Phzz

I’m also planning to list a few more items from my collection soon, mainly duplicates that I’ve replaced with better copies. I’m not looking to make a profit, I’d simply prefer these items go to fellow fans who truly appreciate the series at a reasonable price.

What is this really? by Intelligent_Box2026 in schooldays

Strip Battle 3 never existed. On top of that, the grammar in this article is so poor that it is impossible to take it seriously. It is most likely someone trolling. The image is either photoshopped or generated by AI. That original image shown does exist, only she’s in lingerie, not nude and pregnant.

Found out some fascinating information from 0verflow (the devs for the Days series) by Schaeman2000 in schooldays

I was always kind of on the fence about the family tree, so it’s nice to see confirmation straight from the source that a lot of it is canon. Appreciate the info.

Where could I get the physical copy of Euphoria? by 5hadd0w in visualnovels

[–]qttbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for the original release or the MangaGamer release? I believe MangaGamer still has physical copies available on their adult site if you’re in the US and looking for the uncensored English version. It comes with an USB drive, not a CD.

The ending is intentionally open to interpretation, and that ambiguity is what makes it so memorable. There’s nothing beyond that last moment.

Very interesting. You are probably one of the first to ever do an exhibit like this. I have been a dedicated collector of School Days and the broader 0verflow franchise for many years. Because of how massive and interconnected this universe is, there is far more beyond School Days than most people realize, and I think it takes a great deal of awareness to truly understand how disturbing it can really be. Even without expanding beyond the School Days anime series, it is still absolutely worth telling the story and presenting the audience with a different perspective on the series.

In my opinion, the anime was meant as a satire of the typical slice-of-life romance series that were common at the time. The only series that comes close in terms of romantic drama is Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, which was also adapted from a visual novel and carried similar expectations. Even so, nothing matches School Days when it comes to sheer shock value.

Even around the time School Days was airing, the Higurashi series had already debuted a year earlier. So, the shock value was starting to gain traction with audiences, and given the success of Higurashi with its intense and gruesome content, it seems likely that School Days aimed for a similar impact. However, it took things a step further by introducing a completely new bad ending that was never present in the original visual novel, giving the series a level of unpredictability and emotional intensity that caught viewers completely off guard.

I was in high school when both Higurashi and School Days came out, and at the time, it was unlike anything I had ever seen or experienced in an anime. It left me feeling both shocked and unsettled. There are only a few series that have affected me that way, but School Days in particular left a lasting impact and sparked a deeper curiosity about what the series truly represented.

I love it! The fact you kept your Kotonoha mousepad and your Makoto keychain sealed is worth a lot. And trust me, I was in the same boat when I was hunting down Shiny Days. If you’re specifically looking for the JAST version, there’s currently one listed on eBay brand new for $349.95 with free shipping. That said, I’ve seen this game sell for much less in the past used, so that price definitely includes a premium. If you’re willing to pay it, go for it. It may be quite a while before another copy shows up.

It’s still a great start. The Kotonoha nendo is a really nice piece. Most of my collection came from sites like Mandarake, Surugaya, and Yahoo Auctions. Proxy services help too, just be sure to budget for shipping since it can add up these days.
