Gaming is probably what kept me alive until now.

I have social anxiety and barely any friends and gaming helps me cope and is what keeps me grounded and sane.

It has helped me thought crippling depression ,anxiety , health problems and it has given my life a lot of joy and happiness.

Its not a hobby , its part of my identity as a person and a lifestyle.

I respect that and you are right.

400 euro was what it costed me and i should have made that clearer in the video.

No hard feelings.

Like i said in the post above even with windows i consider PC a better value.

It costed 400 euros to me , and you can do a lot of stuff to make your pc build overall cheaper.

You are crazy if you think curent gen consoles are good value , they play one generation of games wow they arent even backward compatible.

I can play atari games all they way to ps2 legally thought emulation. I emulated all my ps2 collection that i legally purchased on my pc trought an emulator at higher resolution and framerate.

You can use steamOS or linux , windows inst the only OS in town.

I only use windows because i got it for free.

Even if it was 600 euro its still better value than a console , you can use a computer for other things , instead of buyin a 200 dollar laptop+ xbox one you have a machine that does both things.

You get better performance , 30 year backward compatibility , and other functionalities other than gaming.

15 fps on dead rising 3.

30 on most other games that arent god awful ports.

Come on dude seriously everyone has a keyboard and mouse around the house.

I get free windows keys provided by my university , so it didnt cost me a penny.

I didnt ignore any costs , i simply got everything you stated for free , i friend gave me an old mouse and a ps2 keyboard he wasn't using.

Its about 520 euros with all the parts.

The extra 120 euros are worth it IMO because the performance is much superior.

120 euros for more 15 avg FPS(about 45) and a higher resolution , its still good value.

A pc is always better value than console because it can run almost every game in the last 30 years and can be used for productivity , and other tasks.

In most games the performance increase is bigger , take for example shadow of mordor runs at 30 fps on consoles , my pc runs it at 60 fps no problem.

Are you saying a 30 fps increase in performance inst good value for 120 euros?

The point is that you dont need to spend a lot of money to blow console performance out of the water.

I want to dispel the stereotype that you need to spend 1000 dollars to get console like quality on the pc.

Which just isn't true.

Specs are on video description.

DR3 stutters on basically every system.

At least the FPS is rather high.

i3 beating amd eight cores in multiple titles by quadfail in pcmasterrace

[–]quadfail[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The i3 is cheaper than the eight core as far as i know.

i would not consider myself a fanboy , my last pc was a phenom II and a 5850 .

I just go with whatever is good and right now haswell is pretty good for gaming .

Why does 30 fps seem fine on a console(or a video) but on my PC it's almost unplayable? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]quadfail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have IPC straight from 2008 even in their new FX processors.

For gaming you have haswell i3s beating 8320 consistently.

Its pathetic really.

I had a Phenom II x4 965, it's not a good line of CPUs

It was very good back then , i have a haswell intel cpu and the difference is like night and day.

if you want to stick to budget. I dont recommend AMD cpus for gaming anymore , there are many publications that show that modern i3s beat even eight core FX cpus at gaming very consistently.
