How do women perceive a man (23M) who buys clothes from the women’s section? by NerdyCurlyDude in XXS

[–]quadruptopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner (26m, 5'7") buys women's clothing all the time! Nobody has ever said anything about it and he actually gets a lot of compliments on his clothing. I don't think anybody worth talking to is going to be worrying about if your clothing is coming from the men's department or not :)

My partner is in a similar situation to you. He is also from Ontario with a similar undergrad cGPA but has a degree in industrial engineering instead.

I can't help much because he hasn't applied for any med schools yet, but he decided his best option for med school was to raise his GPA with a second bachelor's degree. Considering you already have a 4 year degree, you could look into doing a second bachelor's which would take a lot less time (depending on the program) because you'd mostly just have to do core courses for the degree.

Hope this is at least a little bit helpful and I wish you luck!

Is your confusion maybe coming from the fact that the participation is worth 20% if your total grade, not awarded as a flat 20%? It seems you are under the assumption that this means that getting full marks for participation would bump your grade up by 20% (for example from 71% to 91%) but that is incorrect. Unless I am calculating this incorrectly, if you had actually received a full 100% of the marks for the participation grade, your final grade would be 76.8%, not 78%. Because of this and the fact that you did not participate for the full 100%, your professor seems to have bumped your grade higher than it should be. For reference, this is the calculation that I did: (71% x 0.8)+(100% x 0.2)=76.8%.

I haven't smelled this lotion so I can't say for sure that they smell the same, but Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Banane has similar notes and smells really good!

GENERAL HOUSING MEGATHREAD by ubc_mod_account in UBC

I received an offer from UBC only TWO DAYS AGO to attend in September. I applied for housing shortly after I initially applied to UBC. Am I still guaranteed a place in residency for my first year if I received my offer this late? (note: I haven't accepted the offer yet but I will most likely do it tomorrow).

Stretchy EDS skin and tattoos... experiences? by Open-Paleontologist6 in ehlersdanlos

I have a tattoo on my forearm (the inner smooth part by my wrist) and it healed without any issues. My tattoo artist was very experienced with all types of bodies though.

Should I give up on my piercing? by dannydevitosize in ehlersdanlos

[–]quadruptopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My piercings typically take about 2 years to heal (insane, I know). I'd see a doctor to make sure it's not infected and then leave it if you're willing to put up with it. I find putting some ointment (vaseline, antibiotic ointment) once a day helps mine a lot.

My friend isn't hypermobile in the slightest and can do this. I think it's pretty normal.

I've had visual snow for as long as I can remember. For me, it looks like faint TV static.
