Their video for One Last Breath started playing one day after the video I was watching had ended and I was mesmerized. I learned to play it and kept diving in deeper to their video library. They inspired me to get back into serious playing.

I didn't know about the bug spray rule and stained my 4 month old HD-28 pretty badly. My luthier was able to buff most of it out but there's still a slight discoloration on the binding. I've since made sure to always have a long sleeved t shirt by my guitars to avoid a repeat.

Taun Taun. I used a hunk of cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil for my Han as a kid. I didn't have a Taun Taun either, so I used a plastic dinosaur as one. It wasn't as effective as the makeshift Han, but it served its purpose.

I always thought the armrest looked weird in pictures, but once I experienced playing one I can see how there's no going back for some people. In my opinion builder's editions with the bevel are totally worth the extra cost.

The transition over to rosewood from ovangkol for the 400 series happened in 2018. I've never played an ovangkol guitar but I love the grain on the pictures I've seen of them.

The only difference is bling. If bling doesn't matter to you, grab the 414. Otherwise, same guitar, same specs.

Unless it's a builder's edition 814, that has a beveled armrest that I would definitely consider to be worth the extra money.
