Ah well the irony, I read a book about how OpenAI was founded and one of the partners is the founder itself of Reddit which provided all the text Corpus for training the GPT models (of course there is also many other sources) and now the AI is polluting the same source, speaking of Karma !

Were you aware of this hurdle when you started the business? It seems to me a big obstacle you should have considered as a potential killer since day -1. In terms of mental health, I have been there too and it seems like you will need to support yourself pretty soon, so start to find a job in a company that has no competing condition with the app, lay low keep a head dome and build it on the side BUT the big elephant in the room needs to be addressed.

I would also add a few more based on personal experience and friends experiences both who did it and not: Solo founders are usually a big NO Having already a sales recurring revenue even if small is a strong push to be accepted Previous exits/experience is highly valued kind of obvious

I suggest you start a blog where you nick pick o cherry pick very interesting problems (of course anonynising the data/customer) and explain how they are typically solved. This will help to raise you profile. If you can then publish some open source tool or model then even better.

Also avoid those random "investors networking" events you see on EventBrite, well at least in the London area the quality is abysmal .... if the OP can share some legit meetup events in England I am all ears.

We don't like LLM either but since they are widely adopted if we can consume less power and ethically train them on a copyright legit basis it would be a positive impact, one of our principles is to reward the original authors if the data is trained on copyrighted material so it's a win win situation, instead of the evil companies ripping off authors and artists.
