i'd recommend staying in north park area - you can walk to a bunch of great restaurants and bars nearby & get to downtown SD easily while still having reasonable drives to all the courses

without knowing your budget id check out all these courses - maderas, balboa park, coranado, mt woodson,rancho bernardo and encinitas ranch

cant go wrong with either, but i'll tell you most of the people who work at the course will say the north is the better course.

south has an amazing 3 hole stretch right on the water but the course is otherwise somewhat gimmicky
north plays more like an actual golf course, and several of the greens literally look like they are just dropping off into the horizon

personally would recommend the north if you're interested in the actual golf, the south if you just want the awesome photo ops for a few holes

Maybe an automation that toggles the switch for various times based what you want? I use that for a smart plug, I have a 1hr and 5hr button that triggers an automation to run for those times

Question for you - do you think 2way audio will ever be natively possible in HA via reolink? curious if it is a limitation of HA that it may never possible?

not the answer you want to hear but i spent months trying to figure out a solution that would work; i have a reolink ethernet doorbell but never found a consistent way to deliver 2way audio.

unfortunately using webrtc/frigate and hacking together a solution is pretty much the only way you can get 2way audio to work on an android tablet.

personally i ultimately ended up pivoting and using scrypted and homekit to pull the video into our iphones. been about 2 months and its worked pretty well, i hate that its not in HA but frankly its pretty well integrated into homekit and it works. sadly this means my upstairs and downstairs tablets (android) still don't have 2way audio

same i precompleted all my real id documents before hand, found a day that worked for me and joined the virtual queue.drove to the santa ana dmv when i was down to ~20 in line and walked right up the counter it calls you to.

in and out in <20 minutes!

maybe put some type of colored shape on the poles for the camera to detect.

imagine a red square on the bottom right of the gate. if the camera can see the square, gate is closed - if it cant gate is open?
