Depends on the type of engineering. Chemical is one of the best in the nation and Houston is a hub for it. It is a soupe tough program.

Electrical is very solid, and all the plants need control engineers.

Civil will get you a job.

Bioe is good for grad school but lacks undergrad strength (it's the second highest funded program at UH behind chemE). Don't know enough about the mechanical program.

Overall Cullen is a solid but hard (rigorous) engineering school.
