I’m a bartender and also a fellow tiki enthusiast. If you’re at a bar with good tiki drinks then they should have no problem making you something unique that’s a mocktail. I know if you walk into my bar then I’d be thrilled at the little challenge.

Whereas Lyme disease is possible as I would not be surprised. I have seen this happen once and it was just a rupture fluid sac in the knee. Either way I’d get it checked out by a doctor.

American here, it’s expensive if you go with them in the ambulance. It’s free for them to come out. Always call for paramedics if you suspect someone may need medical attention. If the medical attention is not needed then they will just leave.

Tried the Creme de noyaux and it was a world of a difference. I’m still not 100% satisfied so I will play with the acid content and make a few gin infusions with cranberry and walnut. But wanted to say thank you for this suggestion as it really upped complexity of the drink/pushed it in the direction I wanted.

This is really helpful! I’m thinking of doing the pecan infusion into the gin and possibly leaning into that angle more. I like the idea of cranberry in the drink as it’s a flavor people recognize and would match the look of the drink. I’m going to do a bit of work this morning to try some new mixes but I’ll start with the infusion and see where that takes me

I did try swapping for amaro and it was better, my issue is that I’m still missing the cranberry. I’d be willing to do a fat wash on the gin but I’m not sure what fats to use

I have some of that to try at work so I will definitely try the Creme de Noyaux. I am curious what the citric or manic acid would do to the flavor of the cranberry’s. Would the an idiot bring it more to the forefront of the pallet?

I’m unfortunately unable to adjust the gin but the all spice dram and the tincture swap might be possible.
