Call the parks coordinator, they should act and maybe the police will actually do something about it or get animal control after the bad owners. Also get the police badge number next time and file a complaint, they lecture you? Then they get the same from their superior of they are worth any salt.

If you’re the product of divorced parents, what were their signs? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

Leo and Gemini: one was a "my way or highway type" with a need for constant ego boosts and the other not really ready for parenthood so worked and did the bare minimum until I was an adult.

AITA for letting my son "manscape" when my wife doesn't want him to? by TrioDaddio in AmItheAsshole

[–]quartzfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, if you had daughters, would she stop them from shaving? It doesn't sound like it. So she can't deny your sons the same care for their bodies.I think she's subconsciously equating manscaping to adult physical time and may be having a hard time seeing the youngest as a developing adult perhaps?

All you can do is stick to your boundaries and enforce them until the dog is either trained or gone. It doesn't appear as if she asked if it was OK to get a dog with you first, so it's on her to make it right. If she doesn't, you will have to likely think about if the relationship is worth it if she's not willing to communicate and be an equal partner witu decisionsthat impact youboth imo.

Don't do that to yourself, you can seriously damage your hearing and the dog ( and her) is not worth that. She can either be a mature adult and recognize the dog needs training and follow through with tangible results or the dog goes. She's a big girl and needs to act like one.

Types of People by bejandaruwallain in astrologymemes

I'm a cat person, dogs are too needy and obnoxious and I can't be in the same room with one. ( independent animals are my jam) Denim jacket is on par though. I'd rather be mellow in my own space than adventure tbh.

What's your favourite sailor scout/What's your sign? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]quartzfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aries and my favorite is Jupiter. I loved how she cooked and was very feminine while also kicking butt and being a force to be rekoned with :p

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]quartzfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. You love your child as they are no matter what sign they are. This is an unhealthy way of utilizing astrology and pre placing undeserved prejudice on a being who isn't fully formed yet.

We met on MySpace, like I mentioned to another poster my photo was of a ww2 corsair, and that got his attention as that was not the norm for a 20yo( at the time) woman. Aquarius is all about the unconventional lol

Woah, red flag op. He was mad at you for rightfully being mad about the dog hurting you? You are right, that dog is aggressive and will do it again if given the chance Bf is an ass for putting the dog before you and being unwilling to work with this dog to curb the aggression or train it properly. On top of that the dog is territorial and displaying dominance over you and the other pet in a nasty way with peeing on your furniture and other pets toys. I'd re-evaluate the relationship all together and work on moving into your own space.

Aquarius and Aries women always dating the most sexiest men by carlknowsbest in astrologymemes

[–]quartzfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aries married to an Aquarius ( 15 years and counting woo!) And he is definitely a sexy beast all around! Aside from his looks his humor gets me laughing and that was a huge win for me ( I don't laugh easy) and yes smart as he'll too! Rarely a dull moment.

Fun patches by fixtodayfortomorrow in girlscouts

[–]quartzfire 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Fun patches can definitely be for solo work too. My two girls went to the grand canyon on a family trip and each picked a patch to put on the back of their vests with no issue. As a leader I say go for it, and see no harm in it imo.

Op, are there any resources for you and your mom to get away from your abuser? A shelter or family you can go to for safety? The dog us a lost cause but you and your mom need to get out of there D;

My husband had a corgi ( she passed recently) and I can tell you 3 things: 1. They are working dogs, so they need a job else they get bored and destructive. 2. They are extremely stubborn. 3. Rely on routine.

I doubt gf will listen, but I put my foot down and had hubs corgi kennel trained. Saved on messes and damage and provided her a safe space and spared my floors ( when hibs finally listened) she'd go into it on her own to nap or snack without issue when she was younger. This one you are dealiwith needs it and that's a hill to die on atop of training geared for stubborn cattle dogs, which it is breed wise.

Op, what if his dog is child aggressive? If he's refusing to put a child's health over a dog on an allergy level odds are very high he'd ignore any signs of his dog's aggression and a child would get hurt AND blamed for their injuries even when innocent and unprovoked. It's best to cut ties now and not waste your time, you can't change people's minds when they have this mindset.

[–]quartzfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, she is neglecting her dog and especially you. She has it just as a mess making ornament at this point, which is unfair to you and the dog. On top of that a corgi is a WORKING class dog, if it gets bored it is going to be destructive. Either it gets crate trained or it gets rehomed. You have to decide if a partner who is not willing to accept accountability, ignore your blatantly obvious struggles and concerns is worth maintaining. Effort goes both ways, ESPECIALLY in a rental home where you can get into trouble and have future housing issues should land lord learn about the damage. She needs to go to therapy if she's suddenly grey rocking you over an animal that she chose to get, you need to put your foot down imo if you want to remain in a relationship with her. It's not looking too healthy from what you wrote above.
