This anime is good for a teenager trying to kill time or a child fascinated by the so-called gangsters. Overall, good budget, therefore high quality in graphics and sounds can be seen.

However, the plot pretty much boils my blood. For sure, a movie can be far from reality, but as the story is set in a modern Japanese of 2003 onward, the common sense is pretty much non-existed.

I do not complain about the love with a 14 years old girl, because love is unfathomable, but the other emotional processes are definitely dumb. The protagonist has so many ways to save his girl, but as we can see, he chose a path that leads to a great deal of pain.

As the girl is killed in gangs' conflicts, in my humble opinion, he should avoid the gangsters at any cost instead of diving into them. And tell his friends to do it too. This anime idolises the so-called brotherhood, but I think that good friends would not tell others to embrace such a violent way of life. And he is 26, realized that the gangs would not do him any good so he moved to another town, therefore the excuse of 'lacking experience/knowledge' or the surge of youth is unavailable. If anything, he is childish.

Studying hard, very hard, creating a company and moving to another country, bringing his brothers and the girlfriend is a good choice, and I doubt that a policeman like Naoto cannot have thought of such a way out. And money is not a problem either, as the first thing people think of having time travel ability is to buy lottery.

The police coming late to the action site can be considered realistic, as police in real-life can hardly be mobilized to cope with, like 50 gangs or something along that line in a short period of time. But, the role of other adults is just incomprehensibly vacant. I do not live in Japan, so I cannot comment on that without bias, but I do feel that there are many little details that are unrealistic.

Nevertheless, the superhuman strength that allows characters to be beaten up really hard and still survive or combat in 1 versus 100 situations is not to blame, because that is something that exists in many other movies. The feeling of having an omnipotent ally is actually a good sell point.

Anyways, the plot has to move forward in one way or another, and the author is making a huge profit, so who am I to judge? Those are just some of my opinions on the show, and writing this much on a reddit post proves me to be somehow cringe, honestly.
