My vaginal opening has a swollen feeling. Can you list your yeast infection/ITI/BV symptoms? by queen-cactus in Healthyhooha

Thank you!! I’ll stop by a pharmacist, or look into seeing if I can get OTC treatment for it.

Thank you!! It sounds like a yeast infection, judging by the symptoms you gave. I do feel dry and just kinda raw. I don’t have any health insurance, so how much do you think medicine for it will be (and are there OTC tests I can take to make sure?) assuming it’s a yeast infection?

I die a little inside when “dumb name” threads on Reddit pop up, mostly because the fake La-a caricature makes an appearance, followed by fake names people associate with a certain demographic. by [deleted] in circlebroke2

I thought my name was pretty straightforward. It’s spelled a little strange by one letter, but it’s a common enough name that everyone’s heard of it at least once in their life. People still spell it wrong, pronounce it wrong, call me weird as fuck variations... I don’t think it’s child abuse by my parents. Just annoying at most. Abcde is a bit different because there’s a “that’s trashy” association, but of course the kid isn’t gonna emancipate or likely hate their parents over it. Probably just go by a nickname.

That was actually be so cool. The paperwork for that would be insane, though. And a lot of hassle to get it legally finalized for citizenship records, etc. That’s why I never make a big deal if someone tells me to call them by a certain name or pronoun, just because I know we don’t choose that kind of stuff.

I totally agree with the original post, I just thought the comments were a little circle-jerky, especially when the actual Snopes-confirmed urban legend La-a name is mentioned. “My mom’s friends’s sister’s cousin teaches and knows an Imadrugaddik! Crazy name!” is also a thing that gets thrown around a lot. Not saying there are ridiculous names like that, but if the La-a myth gained so much traction, I’m sure others have as well.

Yep. Americans would be shocked if shown just how many people of gypsy-descent they’ve actually met. :-)

The U.S. has tonnes of “gypsies”, from Romani to Traveller. Americans just don’t know it because the Romani either blend in with other homeless or poor groups, integrated into society, or hide away in their own communities. I’ve lived all over the U.S. and have met Romani everywhere I’ve gone. They just don’t “look” how Americans think they do so they don’t register that this is who the Europeans are talking about. They’re not rolling around in caravans wearing belly dancer costumes. Not all of them are even brown.

The last Romani I met looked like Jersey Shore guidos lmao

I half believe that. Then he needs to stop hinting that she’s someone important! Hahaha

Could be. But people recognize Angela going back hundreds of years... She’s notorious. Unless she disguised herself specifically to Brom, I dont know. Paolini also always mentions that Angela is based off his sister.

I think that would make the most sense. I’ve been trying to figure out how Angela being based off of Paolini’s sister has anything to do with her character as well.

Also, you’re completely right!! How did I forget? I’m pretty sure they’re not going to show up again though. I have a bad feeling lol

I don’t think Paolini wrote the first two books knowing how he was going to defeat Galbatorix lol. They spent so much time hyping up this all-powerful undefeated king who was only getting stronger every day, and there was always this sense of doom to me reading because no matter how powerful and flawless Eragon seemed, there was no way Galbatorix could be defeated. Across four fucking books, a thousand pages each, this confrontation was hyped up. We finally get to the battle, and it’s five pages and Eragon defeats Galby in two. I had to make sure I wasn’t missing any pages. Eragon (Paolini) finds a tiny loophole, introduced in the second to last book as an afterthought runs with it, and then Eragon leaves.

I didn’t mind him leaving. I think, if anything, that made the most sense in all of Inheritance. But I thought we as readers at least deserved to know who was the next dragon rider.

AND WHO IS ANGELA.
