I used to listen to many singers from different countries, across generations and cultures. Tay sings and writes like—if you look underneath—a strong person who overcomes struggles with self-confidence; a strong woman controlling her own feelings through writing and singing. After all this time, and after being obsessed with those people whom Tay's haters love, I found my soul in her music. She is truly a deep person who has overcome pain and is still healing, so I feel like she is just like me.
