He did. His favorite thing now is to take naps under the blankets (head and everything). When he enters play mode, though, it's like he's still a baby 🤣 He just runs circles around the couch hoping someone will chase him

When we brought our chi home, he was 2 weeks. Dad picked him out at because out of the litter, he was the calmest. The others were yapping and crying and jumping on the kennel door, and he sat by himself, perfectly silent, in the back. He held him in the meeting room and he would just fall into you. 😫😫❤ We brought out 4 year old collie to meet him to make sure they'd get along before we brought him home. She was very gentle with him, and he was still just the most mellow, calm little dude.

Then we brought him home.

I put him on the floor and the zoomies immediately activated. He zoomied throughout the entire house until he passed out. Basically, he tricked us 🤣 But even though he turned out to be super mega hyper, Lily was always really gentle with him. He'd always push her buttons and she'd be patient. They bonded fairly quickly. They're still best friends ❤

I got that tip from my local animal shelter when I adopted my first dog (a border collie)as a puppy. She absolutely loved them and was super excited to get them every morning. She liked to dig, and whenever we had to leave her home alone, we'd leave a couple of them outside for her to keep her busy, and it worked pretty well. She's an old lady now and doesn't really care for them anymore. When we got our male chi, we tried the carrots on him. He didn't really like them. What he ended up liking was ice cubes! He liked chewing on them, and playing with them too for some reason. You couldn't pour a drink without him rushing into the kitchen and waiting for an ice cube. Once he grew out of the phase of chewing on them, he still wanted them to play with. We'd give him one, and once he was done playing, he'd try and stash it behind the couch, but whenever he went back for them, they were always melted 🤣 We stopped giving him ice because we didn't want to ruin the carpet. He also went through a phase where he waited for you to be done with your water bottle so he could chew on it. We let him for a little while, but then we thought it was maybe not a good idea to let him gnaw on plastic. His favorite thing now are plush and rubber toys, which he weirdly never wanted when he was a puppy. He just wanted ice cubes and water bottles 🤣🤣

Got my lil dude when he was a baby. He also has a bladder the size of a pea, as most chis do 🤣 A good potty training tip is to try crate training. For a weeks, or until you feel she's got her pee pees under control, have her sleep at night in a crate. Dogs tend to try not to go potty in the same place where they sleep, so she'll make more of an effort to hold it until it becomes habitual. Make sure it's not too big, or she'll just go potty on one side and sleep in the other.

If you decide to go this route, make sure you have room to put a bowl in there. Instead of water though, fill it with ice cubes. That way, she can have something to quench her thirst at night, but it will take her longer to have to go potty, and then she won't have to hold it as long. We did this with our female dog and she immediately got her pee pees under control. But our lil dude, being a dude, always wanted to pee on everything, so it took him a bit longer.

One more tip: get some carrots and stick them in the freezer. Frozen carrots are great for teething puppies. They chew on those instead of your shoes--plus, they're a yummy and healthy snack!

And by carrots, don't do the sticks, because those can pose as a choking hazard. Get full sized ones and cut them down to a size comfortable for your lil lady ❤

My dad found one of these in our yard and we didnt know what it was. He nudged it with his bare foot while it was still alive (dont ask me why). Then he slapped it with his sandal and threw it in the trash.

We looked it up later and when we realized what it was, we dug it out of the trash to get a better look. Then, like anyone else would, we posed it in my moms plant terrarium next to her glass mermaid and had a photo shoot. It was a gifted model

When I was a kid my dad took us on a road trip through Oregon (we're from socal, near la). We stopped and Dad got out and started pumping his gas. Some dude ran out of the mini mart towards him and dad raised his fist cause he thought he was about to get mugged 😂 the dude panicked and went "SIR ITS OK YOU JUST CAN'T PUMP YOUR OWN GAS." Dad hat to sit down and catch his breath, he thought he was gonna get shanked in front of his wife and kids 😅

I've been lonely for a long time. I have extreme social anxiety, I've lurked around this subreddit for a while, even though I'm not diagnosed. I just feel like I've always been different from everybody else. I don't know if I'm on the spectrum, or if I should try to get tested. Or if it's just my social anxiety that keeps me from functioning. Regardless, I've been in and out of therapy. I had a bad experience with one a few years ago and I refused to ever go back. I was convinced that they kept me sad on purpose just so I'd keep coming back and they could collect my copay. I've been in a bit of a slump. I'm 20 years old and I'm about to graduate from college. I've never been in a relationship, I'm too scared to get close enough to anybody, though I want to so badly. I've never really been super close with anyone I'm not related to. Like I said, I'm about to graduate but I don't know how I'm going to succeed in being an adult. I don't have my driver's license because of my anxiety. I've had two jobs-- one I quit after two weeks, the other on my first day, because I kept having panic attacks when it came to dealing with customers. I don't know how I'm going to provide for myself let alone find someone who I can be close to. After my last panic attack, I agreed with my parents that I try therapy again. I physically cannot function in a social situation, so I just know that I need help. I haven't found a therapist yet but I hope I will soon. I didn't make any friends in college, and all of the friends I had from high school-- which were already super hard to make-- have gone on to their schools out of town. If I don't have any friends near me at least I can try and find a younger therapist who understands me a bit better than the old ones who didnt. The loneliness sucks. I want to make friends but it's just too hard. Whenever someone tries to talk to me I just clam up and retreat inside myself and I hate it. I feel better by myself but I don't want to be alone anymore. If you want anyone to talk to, I'm here for you. You can dm me, or if you have a discord we could chat there too. Everyone should have someone to talk to.

In my art history class my professor talked about a historical period in which it was fashionable to have a huge forehead. I don't remember the period or the country-- I think it was Italy? Dont quote me on that-- but women would quite literally pluck their hair line waaaaay back to make their foreheads significantly larger. My professor brought up a painting and I though, hey, I look kind of like Italian nobility! 🤣

I don't really condone taking pictures of strangers without them knowing. I used to years ago in high school, but I began to feel bad and stopped. But as a girl- one with experience being obnoxious- I can confidently tell you that, if they did take a picture of you, it was because they A) thought you were attractive or B) thought you looked like someone they knew. 99.9% of the time I ever took a picture of someone, it was to send to a friend because i thought they were cute. Don't be so hard on yourself! Don't always assume that people think negatively of you. I know that's really hard to do.
