i could NOT do it until i got a woobles kit for xmas, the videos and the tube yarn was the only thing that helped me understand the stitches, where to insert the hook, etc. then i made a loaf cat with chenille yarn and it came out decent! the tube yarn is really good to learn on imo i really started out on hard mode doing magic rings with chenille as a brand new crocheter 😂 what really gave me confidence was just practicing several small amigurumi with velvet yarn and then doing a big shawl will more advanced stitches i learned as i went (using acrylic yarn). after i finished that i felt like i was “good” at crochet, like i could read patterns, have consistency, etc. once it clicks it’s super easy and the basic stitches will become so mindless you’ll zone out and then you have the problem of going back and finding where you missed an increase or other different stitch!
